The kid was playing in front of aurier who didnt give him a single pass to run on to.Clarke plays, like a lot of young players do, like someone who hasn’t had a taste of a goal or assist in awhile. I actually think he has the pace and ability to beat his man more often than not (like he did at Leeds) but he’s very shy which for a winger is odd. You need your wingers to have an arrogance about them where they believe they’ll beat the FB every time and score a worldie cutting in.. Clarke doesn’t have that at all, but everything else is there.
Every time Aurier got the ball he passed it back.
Unfair to judge the kid on this game a winger even if his name is Ginola or Jones or even Bale would have been anonymous if they had played in this game instead of Clarke.Wingers rely on getting passes from their backs or midfielders Clarke got no help at all.
I dont know if hes any good but with this kind of support we will never know.
