Get used to playing without Gio.....Internationals, then 10 days isolation.
None of the players are leaving (those who would have to isolate for 10 days) are they? Didn’t the EPL state they couldn’t? / all teams agreed not to send them?

Maybe rename this the grumpy watford match thread? Seriously some should go back to taking their meds or removing the sand from their vaginas - we have one of the best teams in the league and we will do these pricks!

The Daily Flail, states that the Villa Keeper is set to defy orders and has confirmed he will go also, Buendia has threatened to go. It also says that they are confident that Gio and Romero will join them.

How in the hell have we allowed a situation where Sissoko can start against us only two days after being our player? What, we couldn't have held off on finalising the deal for literally just a couple extra of hours until the deadline passed?

Seems a massive cock-up. Moussa will have a point to prove now. Worldie performance guaranteed. Gonna be a lot of running power going against us between him and Sarr.

Levy probably charged them a premium to finalise it in time. I agree, we have nothing to gain by letting him play but conversely if we’re scared of a player we’ve sold then something’s not right.

Both times Lo Celso has come on in the PL it’s been for one of the front 3, not one of the midfield 3. The same will apply to Gil for most meaningful games.

I mean look at the type of midfielders we are signing/chasing. Box to box, high energy type players. People are still trying to shoehorn as many flair players as possible into lineups despite all evidence to the contrary from Nuno.

Moussa just came over and gave us a little clap. Now warming up with his new teammates:

So many were ready to drive Sissoko away from the club, now they're scared he's gonna put in a worldie against us?
Where's the contradiction? Not good enough for Spurs but he's a dangerous player (still get picked for France after all). Watford bought him for a reason. He makes them a better team.

He was also presumably present for most of our tactical preparation for this game given he trained on Thursday. Not ideal.

I doubt that Sissy is that match sharp so I'd hope he doesn't cause too many problems. And I'm sure that Watford were well aware of today's game and insisted it went through on time

Agree about the 2 more defensive midfielders. If this isn't a game where we have an extra attacking player and go out all guns blazing I don't know what is

But I'll wait and see before I say much more. As somebody said, Nuno isn't afraid to change things

The guys on whatever channel it is I'm watching via my perfectly legal subscription ( :cautious: ) just said Lloris is the only 'keeper yet to concede on the top flight.

TBH, its a natural psychological thing for players to wanna perform the best against their old club. It's not unthinkable to see Sissoko performing the best of himself today. In fact highly likely he will, as he has nothing to lose being his first game in his new club. We as the selling club who will be playing the club who we are selling the player to next, we, IMHO, should exercise all options to prevent them from gaining any possible advantage, especially if Sissoko is an upgrade to their midfield improving their chances today. And it's really not hard to do something in preventing Sissoko from registering in time to play. Yet, we didn't.

Just my two cents.
