Things must be bad when I'm satisfied with a draw at half time and more possession.
That's what spurs have done to the fans lately lowered our expectations. Hopefully we might actually look like scoring in 2nd half.

It just doesn't sit right with me this formation and tactics. It's not the Tottenham Way and it's not bringing success.

Given Sarr's knock, who would you play in midfield instead of the extra CB? I'm genuinely curious to know.

Because from where I'm sitting we don't have any midfielders left.

Could drop Kulusevski back to play just Infront of Skipp and Hojbjerg

That's about the only other option

I would bring on Perisic & Porro, and one of Danjuma/Son for Kulu.

It’s not enough that they lost to the Arse twice, now they seem determined to bend over and take one at home to the hopeless Spam. Cheers lads, thanks for all of your effort this season.

He’s one of the three players out there that could actually create something.
Take Dier or Lenglet off and play a back a four.
Or worse case move Emerson to RCB and Porro RWB.
Agree. I really don't know how we can get anything from a back 3 anymore. We played the best games with bombing FBs in Walker and Rose.

Kulu has been in horrific form since he returned from injury, I doubt he makes any difference in MF.

Kane dropping deeper to help Skipp and PEH is the tell tale sign. We really needed Sarr today.

Would you really trust Royal bringing the ball out of defence?
I think I would. It takes away the responsibility and pressure to go for the final third and deliver in an outright attacking sense, and he’s generally been good up until the final third. Besides, you could have Emerson and Lenglet, say, either side of Romero. LCB and RCB stay home a little more, freeing Romero up to be the one that steps up more often, joining the midfield as he clearly loves to do.

Need to get some pace on at half time. The athleticism in this team reminds of the George Graham and Hoddle eras. no threat in behind or any 1v1 ability anywhere on the pitch, this is the type of football that you’ll get. Very easy to defend against

The more I see it, the more obvious it is that it should've been a pen. I don't know what VAR is even there for any more.

Say what you want about Daniel levy, but we are a really poorly coached football team right now. Disorganised in defence and shapeless in attack, with way too many players way off the levels we can reasonably expect from them

And stick with the same formation?

I was only asking cause you said the problems with the line-up/formation and it looks like we only have the players for this 5-2-3 given injuries.

I don't think it's been all that shit personally.

There has been a lot more rotating of positions than normal and we've cut West Ham open through the first couple of phases if you will. The significant issue has been our decision making and final ball in that last phase. We've got the man over at times but Deki has not been his usual self. Emerson has been teed up to cross on multiple occasions and opted to stand still until someone else becomes available to pass to.

Richarlison deserves to stay on over on the left. If we are to bring Son or Danjuma on for Deki then they should go to the right.
Yeah to me we've lacked quality in the final third but have actually looked better today than in the majority of first halves this season. We've moved the ball more quickly and players have taken more risks in possession.

Admittedly we're normally absolute dog dirt in first halves, so I think that says more about how bad we've been this season rather than us actually being any good today.

We're begging for some pace (or clever movement) on the pitch to provide a threat in behind, and balance to us as an attacking unit. We're not hard to defend against because everything is in front of them. I guess that's what you miss when Son is well below par...
Get danjuma on for Kulu. Has pace in behind and dribbling. Get porro on to provide more attack too
