Chuffed for Winks, must mean the world to him.

Toby can have no complaints, he has been ropey as fuck recently. The more physical and pacey Tanganga/Dave makes sense against Wolves.

We can win this.

I'm not so sure of that. On reputation maybe, not on ability.

Everyone looks crap when they are asked to play negative football. It's not like today's started can look any worse than those that started at Chelsea.

There are plenty fine footballers in our team today, enough to try and play football.

I'm not as against the team as everyone else here, but our avenue of attack seems fairly predictable - Lo Celso only - and therefor a priority to stifle. With Toby on the field he offers a different avenue with his passing.

It's going to be interesting one way or another.

Incoming 0-0.

We don't have a problem with attack,we have a problem with midfield carving out enough space for the attackers. Winks and Dier will have to be strong defensively and be able to control the ball in the middle with crisp quick accurate passes to give the attackers a chance. Lo Celso is key to the creativeness but the flow starts with either mobile backs or the midfield. Both who have hard a hard time moving the ball down the field. Often when LO Celso has got it there are a host of players around him and other attackers..so they end up with no space to pass into

One thing about Jose’s selections is, he certainly knows how to throw a curve ball.
Hope we can get, & then keep, enough possession for it to be 3-4-3 lineup, but worry we’ll be defending a lot of the time in a 5-3-2 line up.

Worst spurs starting line up I have seen for 12 years, and I am supposed to be proud for winks? Awful he has been chosen as captain for our great club when he shouldn't even be in the team. Bad day for the club this, we are officially 3rd rate

The problem I have now is whether I want to watch Dier and Winks play together again or if I want to keep my blood pressure low and enjoy my Sunday. I should enjoy football, that isn't a dilemma I should be faced with.

Im a tually glad toby is on the bench. I cant stand his delaying on the ball and not making a quick pass, and when he does pass eventually, its either sideways or a long ball to moura which ultimately ends up back to the opponent.

Very happy for winks. I like the lad.

Dier playing is my biggest worry. He will make the midfield stiff n immobile.

Is this game not on any national radio stations?

Also, to jump into the party rather late, I can't believe that someone who's able, would not want to go to the game.
I've not been able to go for years, so most of my time at the lane was when we were pretty shit, with a little bit of Martin Jol at the end.
If I got the chance to go today, nothing would stop me from going and supporting the team I love.
I understand that it's down to opinions and choices but for me personally, if I could be there, I would.

Hugo did something in the final few minutes against CIty which looked painful at the time. It looked like he pulled something jumping to get fingertips to De Bruyne's shot but he was able to continue (and apparently play every minute since then).

Even in our darkest days under Poch when we were losing to Burnley, So'ton, etc. week after week, we still often had the lions share of possession and were able to pass the ball around and control long stretches of games. The problem was we were slow, predictable and unable to break teams down.

Under Mourinho with the exact same players (minus one CE) we're suddenly meant to accept that our squad is incapable of anything other than deep-lying hoofball? I don't buy it.
