How have we ended up with such an average strike force? I don't rate Bent (shock horror) but Jesus if Campbell is the alternative then he wins hands down.

Pav is pedestrian and Frazier is total rubbish. Touch of a rapist, no pace, can't head, can't shoot, poor balance, weak and doesn't look interested.

If we had a half decent striker we would be dangerous. As it is we are toothless.

Ah well, we can all blame Campbell, but Bentley is the biggest waste of money this club has ever wasted ! Well the survival is up for grabs ! Please sign a decent finisher .. How have we ended up with this strikeforce? Well, we sold Keane, Berbatov and Defoe, kept Bent, and brought in Pavlyuchenko and some kid from Man U's youth team. The current strike force is like a Beatles reunion consisting of Ringo Starr, someone from Herman's Hermits and someone from S-Club Juniors.

You hate Bent because he's not Defoe. Bent is an awesome striker. Pav's good too. Just give him time. Campbell is pretty shit though. We just need to replace Campbell with a goalscoring third choice striker and we're good on the striker front.

I thought Pav did OK and stretched their defence out quite well. But we don't look like scoring many. Campbell is a decent player, but IMO he isn't effective as a lone striker. We certainly need a proven goalscorer in during the January window.

to use modric properly we have to play him in a midfield 5, and it helps hundredstone as well. so we need a big motherfucker up front that can hold the ball up. and not heskey cos the striker needs to be able to score.
so the 'bring keane and defoe back' brigade should shut up.
basically we need drogba. only without annoying-twatness and denise lewis hair/face.

once January comes and harry has a chance for a bit of wheeling and dealing, i can see us going back to a 4-4-2, however at the moment, i dont think we have the personell, especially upfront, to play 4-4-2.

What we need in january is a DM and at least one striker that can play alonside Pav and offers us something differnt up front.
