I'd take a draw.

Usually yes. With our remaining fixtures we need to win games we usually wouldn't to achieve our goals. This is one of the more winnable games from what we have left to play. Tough game and the players need to do their job.

another point of note for this game is that the sunderland fans have been saying that bent and jones aint match fit after carrying knocks they also expect campbell to start upfront with one or the other

Not feeling massively confident if i'm honest, but then again, I've been saying that a lot for our recent games and we've been winning, so I'm not reading too much into it.

please, please, please, please just 3 little points, please. Not too much to ask for is it?

Im normally quite pessimistic.

So its unusual for me to be so confident. Its just gonna happen.

im just intrigued by the line up and what redknapp will do especially before the fa cup semi final next week . really the best thing would be is to put in a young centre mid and hope he puts in a really good shift. The only other thing i can think of is gudj playing with modric but thats very attack minded

Dervitte is a forgotten man too. Very possibly he may feature to bring in Kaboul DM.

I'm actually expecting...

Gomes
Ekotto....Walker....Bassong....Bale
Bentley....Kaboul....Modric....Kranjcar
Crouch....Defoe

But I would start Livermore and Crouch.

It'll be tough for sure, but we can do it. Luckily we still have enough attacking quality to win this game.

I'm loathe to say it but too many false dawns have whittled down my optimism. I predict a 2-1 win for Sunderland with Cana popping up to score an injury time winner. Or maybe, just maybe, our unified team spirit will see us pick up another hard fought victory away from home.

I see this one as being the game where we come crashing back down to earth with a 3-1 loss and City/Liverpool/Villa all win to make us feel even more shit. Bent will probably get a couple of goals and I can see Gomes making a howler today.

Ah well, typical pre-game optimism, hope I'm wrong.

I'm starting to feel really nervous about this one! This alongside Bolton and Burnley are the absolute must win games of what we have left remaining! If we are to finish 4th we've got to win those games.

No gut feeling as yet. Maybe the gut will kick in after lunch!

COME ON YOU SPURS!!!!!!!!!!! Yid army! Yid army! Yid army!

Absolutely massive game today. Huge huge huge.

We've really stepped up to the plate in recent weeks against some tricky teams and with some important players out injured. It needs to continue up Norf today.

Perhaps just in reaction to all the pessimism, I am fully optimistic and expect nothing but a Mackem Massacre. I reckon the boys will do us proud today. Harry is going to get the tactics spot on, and we will just outclass them throughout. I cannot see anything other than a Spurs win here, we're going to do it and what's more, we'll do it in style.

If Sunderland register even one point today I'll be in a complete state of shock, perhaps of catatonic proportions. This is going to be a rout, Darren Bent is going end up weeping like a little girl into his shin pads.

Forget about the injuries they still need to contain Niko, Luka, bale, pav, Bentley, crouch, Eidur and JD, at the very least. 3 points to the Yids.

I wouldn't be so pessimistic if we had someone in central midfield who could win the ball

But with no Hudd, Jenas, O'Hara or Palacois (very doubtful) I can't see us having the steel and aggression to dominate the game

I really hope I'm wrong

We still need to win the ball to give it to that lot you listed :-|
