Honestly for me with the players we have available, it feels like a no brainer. Need Bale to get fit. Bergwijn I think works really hard for the team but I think Gio and Ndombele both have superiority quality and we'll produce more chances.

Bale better be available, and be ready to step it up. Without Lamela our other options are just not good enough

3 days to prep and the cup game next week, Jose can afford to play to Gio and Ndombele at the same time.

I just don’t want to see Bergwjin starting. Anyone else at least hits the target with his chances tonight. I don’t care who starts as long as he is out. The rest of the 10 pick themselves.

Edit: I find it pretty funny so people giving negative reactions but you’re the first to say Lucas needs to be benched. The players are the exact same!

Bergwijn hit the post tonight and the other was from a tight angle. He absolutely shouldn’t be hammered. He’s working his socks off at the moment.

For me v Leicester:

—————Lloris
Aurier—Toby—Dier—Reguilon
———Hojbjerg—Sissoko
Bergwijn—Ndombele—Son
—————Kane

Would like to see Bale & Vinicius on bench if they’re fit.

Agree on Bergwijn the more games he's getting the better he plays. Jose must persist a little longer.the goals will come.

People are forgetting some big goals Bergwijn has scored. Also, last night Kane probably missed the easiest chance. I just think against Leicester, even if we sit deep and counter, we don’t need Sissoko and would play Lo Celso or Ndombele alongside Højbjerg.

If your first sentence is the key argument Lucas needs to be the first man on the team sheet?

Not sure exactly what your question is.

That sentence was in response to people saying they don’t want to see Bergwijn starting again.

Leicester's form is fucking weird. They seem really good away from home (Liverpool game aside) , and terrible at home.

Strange one to call, but I'd go unchanged apart from Ndombele in for Lo Celso and Sissoko back to his more familiar role.

Yeah Bergwijn scored about 2 vital goals for us. Lucas scored like 4 vital goals in our CL final run.
Thats still not an argument to start him when the last few months suggest he/they completely forgot where the goal is.
