It was a weird sequence of posts @jezz was actually quoting what @Black had said in the Lamela thread - but that post from Black came before yesterday's game.
Yes correct and he constantly stating Lamela is rubbish, I just thought it strange how he had him starting in his line up.

I disagree. If we don't win this game comfortably, I will be highly disappointed. With the way their team is set up, I expect a 3 or 4 nil game, with them maybe nicking a goal. We just need to set the game up to control in the midfield and draw their back three so we can let our forwards get in behind them. Caulker, Ferdinand and Dunne are not getting to any through ball before any of our wingers or forwards.
In theory

Dude what planet have you been living on, we're nowhere near putting that many goals past a team especially a team who you know will fight for the manager who is determined to prove himself.

I'd leave Dembele, Paulinho and Chadli out of this squad and start them in EL 2nd leg to continue gaining fitness. I'd have been tempted to do same with Vert but better to start considering Remy threat. I want Kane to start but I've got a feeling Lennon will start. Although didn't have great game I think might be wise keeping Soldado in team.

A planet in which I've regularly watched QPR play under Redknapp. We have everything to destroy them.

Makes you wonder where was this fight last season?

They couldn't give a shit, even in the playoff final

If Poochie the dawg selects this team, I would respect him alot:

Soldado
Eriksen --- Kane --- Lamela
Capoue --- Bentaleb
Rose -- Kaboul -- Dier -- Fredericks
Lloris

With this team he would be rewarding form and fitness whilst sending a message to the players rather than picking names, he is going with this who are fit and ready to go.

Vertonghen just played his first game this season/preseason and it was hot and he would only had one day to train

I can see this being the team, except Bentaleb for Dembele.

I think with us being at home, QPR's 3-5-2 will become a 5-3-2 with their wing backs being forced back often. With that in mind there will be little space/gaps to work through especially if one of their MF 3 also drops, so Eriksen's performance will decide this game I think. On form we win, another anonymous game then who knows.

If the above is what transpires then I think we will need 2 quite defensively minded CM's to extinguish their counter attacks. Capoue and Sandro would be too far I think so I would go Capoue Bentaleb as Nabil can break up play but also get the ball forward quicker then the beast.

Vertonghen's fitness concerns me after Thursday especially against Remy's pace but were pretty light in terms of quality at the back at the mo so not sure what other options we have.

Also Soldado up top for me. Why not? Confidence after the EL goal, at home, one of the weaker teams in the league. Seems like the perfect op to give him a chance, up to him if he takes it!

Wow all that just came to me in a haze! Like I was Frank the tank in the debate scene from Old School!

Surprised this wasn't picked either for TV. Harry's return and all...

Instead they have Hull and Stoke on. I know they pick the games well in advance but Jesus.

Sky have to show every team so many times to make their coverage fair. So to kill 2 birds with one stone they throw a game like this on and sky usually do this early on in the season so they can show their favourites every week from March onwards

Don't think we do really,a 2-0 or 2-1 is most realistic. We have a long way to go under Poch,we were a mess last season and that is getting fixed bit by bit.

We have certainly got some fantastic individuals but attacking wise I would say they have the best player tomorrow in Remy. If the likes of Lamela,Soldado,Ade,Eriksen can link up and play to the top of their game then we could hit the ground running vs QPR. However that has not happened regularly and we also look pretty shaky at the back. An early goal is key tomorrow, get that and who knows.

..................Lloris..................

Dier.....Kaboul...Verts.......Rose

........Capoue...Dembele...........

Lamela.......Eriksen.........Chadli

................Soldado................

Would love to see this, Dembele looked really bright on Thursday when he came on and would like to see Chadli alongside Eriksen and Lamela in a rotating midfield 3. Would love to see Soldado given another chance but i imagine Ade will probably start as he was probably rested for this reason.

Bentaleb should be picked ahead of Dembele, he's done nothing wrong. Dembele has not been good enough, is not good enough, we spent 30 million on him and Paulinho and we are still having to look around for another midfielder, that says it all.

We were much improved after Dembele and Lamela came on against Limassol.

Kane has been very good for us since he was introduced into the team late last season and deserves a start.

Soldado and Lamela link up well and it would be stupid not to play them after Thursday's late cameo together.

Subs - Bentaleb for Dembele when he burns out after 60-65 mins.

No Lennon in the squad- I wish
EDIT - hope he's not injured I don't wish that on anyone

All our players deserve a chance to prove themselves under the manager.

They get a chance to prove themselves in training.

That's not the same as playing a full match, I think we ought to wait and see what the manager has up his sleeves as opposed to getting rid because they haven't played that well in the past.
