With Eriksen out id go:

Lloris

Walker Aldeweireld Vertonghen Rose

Mason Dier

Chadli Lamela Son

Kane

(Or Chadli and Son other way round).
Assuming eriksen, dembele, and njie are out I would go with this, probably chadli and son the other sides. The 3 behind Kane can interchange a lot with a solid base of dier and mason. Would be a good side to watch, would prefer tripier in but can't see it happening.

what has lamela done for us lately? stunned how many are including him.

alli or mason behind kane. both deserve it much more than expensive bollox. son or njie on the right.

walker will be picked.

a must win.

Worth giving a shot central with Eriksen out?

He played very well for Argenti a centrally so hopefully will keep up his confidence.

Also, Mason is arguably better a bit deeper, Ali is a good shout but again isn't he really more suited to playing a bit deeper?

The OS says Eriksen is out and Dembele and Njie unlikely so I'd go with this:

Hugo

Walker
Toby
Verts
Rose

Dier
Bentaleb

Son
Mason
Chadli

Kane

I think the only real choice is whether to go with Bentaleb or Alli, moving Mason back if Alli selected. Don't see any way Lamela starts and surprised people think Poch will, he is going to need to rehabilitate himself in the cups.

Flash back two years I seem to remember the same buzz around Lamela as there is now with Son. Might be shit in a spurs shirt, hopefully not

Very different. Lamela had a great season in Italy. Son has had three seasons in a row of playing at a high level in a much more physical league.

I'd love to see Clinton on the bench. As they haven't ruled him out I'm optimistic that he will make the bench. The only way he can build up match fitness is to play minutes.

Even if its only 10 minutes.

nope.

in practice the other two help out a bit deeper, then brek from deeper positions, making their runs harder to defend against. lamela can remind everyone what he can do v the qarabaggies.

I really hope Alli gets a shot to start. Preferably next to Dier in a more central/box-to-box role. I'd also prefer to see Pritchard behind Kane as he has that ability to play quick, accurate passes which will be necessary against what likely will be a defense sitting deep. I'm a bit over the Mason starting in the 10 trend. He's so great at getting into scoring positions but for whatever reason has lost all ability to finish.

I'd love to see Pritchard in there but concerned may be a bit soon to just chuck him straight into starting eleven?

Better maybe to ease him in with coming off subs bench like Kane did at first last season.

Dier is essentially a 3rd CB so we have enough cover in the defensive aspect of our team. Thus I'd play a more offensive 4-1-2-3 formation.

.....................Lloris...................
Walker....Toby....Verts....Rose
......................Dier....................
.............Mason....Alli...............
.........Son.....Kane....Chadli......

If we're being attacked relentlessly Mason can drop back to cover defensively in a 4-2-1-3 but essentially his role will be a more attack-minded CM.

Sonny, Kane and Chadli to play in a front 3, with no specific target man. All 3 to roam the frontline together so that Kane will not act as the sole target man.

i'd like to see

kane
mason son
nabs davies alli
rose verts dier aldi
hugo
given that: mousa is a doubt, chadli can do one, eriksen can also FO, walker,
townsend was close to making that lwf spot but in the end i opted for mason
alderweireld is decent on the ball so he can be rb (as with NT?) with dier reverting to cb and benjamins coming into the dm 3rd cb position

on another day i would force verts to dm and wimmer into the lineup

4.3.3

That is one of the worst lineups I've ever seen.

Also son seems phycially stronger and quick, 2 vital ingredients to succeed in England

I'd play Alli in the hole behind Kane, with Son and Chadli supporting from the flanks. Dier and Mason (who pips Bentaleb on form this month). Same back 5 as usual.
