The way you've explained it makes total sense actually.Apologies if somebody has already responded to this post, totoner. The thing is, our club hasn't denied we've spoken to them, has it? I thought Ajax (Overmars) said they'd "received an unofficial approach from Tottenham", to which our club responded with something along the lines of "we've made no official approach to any club for their manager"..
See, both statements are saying the same thing, it's just that our press are too stupid to recognise it. An approach HAS been made, but it's just a tentative approach, to gauge interest from all parties, rather than an actual official approach, as in to FDB and/or his agent. Overmars clearly stated we'd phoned him, and he had no choice but to inform FDB because it could be a great opportunity for his. However, a phone-call is not official, only a written approach is, I believe?
