2+2 together here, may be coming up with 5, but didn't somebody say last night a bid had been lodged for Moutinho and Hulk...? Can't remember who said it, so may have been a little less reliable than we would hope, but surely a bid of that size may require some kind of fiancial guarantee, food for thought nonetheless.

Anyhow, if this does turn out to be something solid, the Grey Fox bit, not the Porto bid bit from last night, then I point back to my post earlier, I knew that the ITK swingometer would head back around to funtime from suicide watch by this afternoon.

It was adiepf :( and he later said it was from europeanboard.net - not the best source it has to be said!

If I understand - one of the replies also said that it could be secured against incoming funds. Such as if Madrid were to be handing over a large sum, we could actually start spending on that without having the funds first.

If those those incoming funds are sales, as I expect, that actually makes me sad. Not for us, but for football. If you think of us as a company, we're in a good financial situation and generate a lot of income. We are a very good gamble when it comes to loaning money, and well worth the risk based on the money the back will make. You would think we could afford a loan based on that alone, without any contingency on a sale. Our overall revenue streams, should make us worth a loan. So if they need such guarantees for us, think about how some of the clubs below us are dealing in this economy. What are we 12th richest in revenue? Tough times.

Might not have such a stark meaning, though. Just my initial reaction. And on the plus side, one of those clubs that is probably hurting from this bank conservatism is West Ham....so silver lining ;)

Maybe it's for AVB's payoff.

Zero points!!!!! You're shit Andre! Clear out your locker asap!
Yeah, were 4th bottom FFS! However, I think Stoof is more in know on this and he reckons it's for a bottle of wine.
Seriously though, I hope that letters headed Brazil-wards

This is all massively disappointing. The transfer window has become such a desperate time that we are all doing the thing that is surely the worst thing possible to do in a time of crisis.

We are listening to Stoof.

May god/buddha/FSM have mercy on our souls.

Is this definitely in relation to outgoing funds?

It couldn't say be in relation to the Modric deal and large amounts of money coming to us from Real?

Edit: This may be a really nooby question, i'm just trying to think logically and consider every possibility.

Even then why would we need to prepare one if not to show someone else that we definitely have that money coming? It has to be a purchase. Someone needs to see some security for something. I hope

We wouldn't be putting together an LOC for incoming funds, only outgoing.
