Why do so many people interpret the itk so negatively?
It's either won't get him he'll go elsewhere as they can pay more money or he'll go to a cl club. It seems people apply either of these endlessly in a frustratingly endless cycle of gloom.
We have been in the top 4-5 in one of the biggest leagues in the world for the past five years. We have a squad with plenty of quality, promise and internationals. We pay excellent wages. We are (like it or not) a great springboard to go onto the top level clubs (carrick, berba, bale and mod) we are based in London and we have a new stadium on the way. If only we had some more positive and optimistic fans to fill it out...
You list a number of positives which should IMO see us bat off rival interest from EL level teams including in Spain, Germany and Italy. Made me happy and positive to read it.
I also believe with a bit more ambition in making offers on fees and wages we should be able to sometimes at least beat off CL clubs like Monaco, Marseille, Napoli and even Roma.
We should look to buy fewer but better including sometimes more expensive players. Recently we haven't been punching our weight in the market, but two good late deals would restore my faith. Don't believe Levy would go for a simple loan deal, after what he took for Campbell. I'd rather we didn't, unless it's a perm then I'd rather develop our own.
