Truth is and it has been said already, if we fail in the summer to bring in some good signings then yes Conte will walk. Levy will know that is it for him and ultimately there will be no option but go
But we haven't cleared any deadwood? And the players being linked away are on loan so come the summer they'll all be back!
On another Picasso, it would seem.So little Daniel fucked off to the Bahamas to sip Pina coladas then. Where's the money him and that old **** agreed to spend?
But who can we get that
- We can afford the transfer fee for
- Can afford the wages for
- The player wants to come to Tottenham
- If not first team player would he want to join as back up?
It’s not my job to identify these players (or speculate in this thread), we are meant to have a body of people who do this but instead of these players being properly scouted and identified ahead of the window we are stuck waiting for agents to offer us their unwanted players as per usual. It’s the same every window. It’s so slap dash, unthought out and seat of your pants. We see it every time.
So Coutinio and Digne wouldn’t have made us a better squad?
It will all end soon....So..... Any good news?
I can't see anyone leaving permanently. Barely a single link to suggest that. Not one part of our January 'plan' has happened yet with less than a week left but as you say, let's see.Are we not still in January? The deadline hasn't passed from as far as I can see.
I'm being patient and waiting till February 1st before any over reactions.
Tbh I'd rather have a seasoned professional, that I think looks decent, than some kids. The state of us if we sign this journeyman.
Devine, White, or John would do just as well.
Why not give them some minutes?
It all depends if Conte is happy to sign them. Conte has signed tons of underwhelming players in his time who have fitted in well to his system and squad.
Amrabat for sure is no world beater but if he is all we can get in CM for now to tie us over until summer then he's better than nothing.
Conte said in his PM presser last match "January is difficult and there are some opportunities, sometimes not the best opportunities but we have to do something as the squad isn't so big".
Amrabat is probably the type of signing he means whereby he is obviously no Kessie but if Conte thinks he will help us out from now until end of the season and then next summer we go for say Kessie/McKennie or whoever and bring in Sarr then that could be the strategy.
From Conte's quotes I really think we will sign at least 2 players, Traore and a CM and quite possibly a 3rd if another 'opportunity' comes up and we can agree to move on GLC, TN and DA etc.
This all being said, if we are trying to flog Ndombele to PSG then I'd rather we got Winjaldium than Amrabat if possible.
But I'm relaxed and Paratici won't be signing players Conte doesn't want or agree on so whatever we think of any of these signings there will be a reason that we are signing them as part of a wider agreed plan with Conte.
One day closer to the eventual day these ambitionless rats sell? That’s all I got.So..... Any good news?
More likely about 10 more picassos to line the walls between the tennis court & the movie theater in Lewis’ new yacht hes buildingOn another Picasso, it would seem.
Who cares?Which PL clubs have done incoming business?
Who cares?
The real question for this forum - do Spurs need to get quality players in to compete for the top-4?
The answer is: Yes!
If other teams don't get anyone in - that is good news.
