Hopefully Vertonghen gets sorted soon.

Does any ITK know anything about the Del Piero speculation? He might be old, a shadow of his former self etc, but even at 37 this season he saved Juve's bacon on a few occasions with some absolutely lovely cameo performances. Without him, his inspiration and his leadership they wouldn't have won the Scuddetto. One of my favourite players, so even at his grand old age I'd still love it if we signed him. Doubt it'd ever happen though, but can any ITK tell me anything exciting?

I think there was a price agreed that we could have him for... but there would have to be negotiations about how this is paid etc, such as how much up front, as we are seeing with the Vertonghen deal.

Tbf he was training with them as they were the only team he could play with. Might as well build up an understanding with them.

As far as I'm aware, he couldn't play for us competitively. Due to some signing rule? I think he was here so we could get a closer look at him and how he adapted to this country etc. and a deal had been agreed in principle, if things worked out for both sides
