This really is a disaster if true. Liverpool are what 6/8 points behind? A striker can easily make that difference up, we don't have that striker.
I agree, but Torres is on another planet from Suarez. And if he leaves, Suarez has to hit the ground running in a new team and a foreign country with a far tougher league. City don't have any real options if Tevez gets crocked. Dzeko might hit a hot streak, but he strikes me as more of a provider. Our strikers may not have done the business so far this season, but Defoe's been out for a large part of it, and even with a misfiring front line we're still fifth. I'm not at all optimistic in truth, but we can't be written off yet.
