The whole world's interested in Lukaku mate but that doesn't mean he's going anywhere, the club, player, agent and the player's father have all been adamant he's not going anywhere until he's finished school. It's a very unique situation but I believe there's zero chance of Lukaku leaving until the summer.

Mate to be fair if that was the case you surely dont enter into talks and then have that moment of realisation. The player would of been watched over a period of time too and Harry should of made his mind up in terms of all aspects of how he would fit in, what sort of player/role etc...

It smacks of not having a clear strategy in place.

time to get with the times harry, they are all inflated if we want to get to that level but there are still good and bad decisions to be made, for proof I refer Citeh's 100mill worth of strikers who cant score against average epl teams

we dont need to spend 100mill but we need to spend something, we cant pull out of every deal because we cant agree on wages, time to bite the bullet

fair point, but the issue isnt whether Harry is convinced or not....its the amount of time he's had to get convinced ablut soemone!

i would'nt be so sure of that. Mourinho is ego driven and i can see him being highly attracted to the glory that would come from winning the title with us.

I think that is a statement made from the heart rather than the head. Of course he is ego driven but part of the fuel he requires is the ability to go out and buy the players that he wants. We can't deliver that option at present, others can.

he is a great judge of a player even ferguson said it. i totally believe in him and fact he says again today about striker shows he does want one.. its not his fault levy and those higher cant deliver.

I'm really concerned about our lack of transfer strategy since we got rid of the DoF structure. Come back Comolli, all is forgiven!

Me too, Harry has played it very, very safe with his signings for the most part. VDV and Sandro were clearly not his choices and the rest were all very run of the mill tried and tested PL players - not that there is anything wrong with that - we needed a better squad. But now we have the better squad we need that extra push of quality to take us further.

Our main star players are all DoF signings (Gomes, Bale, Ekotto, Lennon, Modric) and VDV is a Levy signing.

What we need is a new Striker that matches up to our other DoF signings.

I think Harry and everyone else felt that he would be available for a lot less then he went for. remember we bid £19m for him only last year.

But as far as I was aware we stepped away maybe 5 or 6 days ago, considering the saga that has unfolded, that was quite a long time ago. They asked for the £19m that we offered before, Harry wasnt keen for that money
