Vert will score tonight and guess what he'll wear under the Belgium shirt when he takes it off during celebration?

The Spurs 12/13 shirt ;)

Or a half Spurs, half Ajax top due to the current confusion. Both sets of fans would love him then.

Tomkins recently said he was glad he stayed at West Ham, he loves them and can't wait to play in the prem with them.

Agreed, I work with James dad, and James won't be going anywhere now West Ham are in the Premier League. He just recently got a 200% pay rise, due to the club getting promoted.

Good for him. Nice to see a player not jumping ship at the first chance or, very healthily, able to derive pleasure and happinness not only via being the most well payed or most coveted etc. His entire self-worth isn't based around material needs and wants. He's happy at Legoland East London, more power to him.

Now watch him requehand in a trasnfer request or something and make my post look silly.

That sounds like a sensible contract to be on. Well done Gold and Sullivan. Brilliant businessmanship. Bunch of ****s.

I quite like Tomkins by the by.

Sounds like more waiting based on Goat's ITK regarding Harry. Never in a hurry to sort things out down at WHL!

Who: The Goat
When: 2nd June
Where: SC

From our usual source regarding Harry's talks with Levy..............Nothing has been resolved and they are still negotiating different options. Hopefully all decided either way in the next 48 hours.

So Ol' Goaty has spoken... the club is in limbo it seems right now. I'd say Vertonghen wont be announced until this conference between Harry and Levy has concluded.

I don't think it will make much difference really. Im sure all of us on here would like him signed up ASAP just in case any redknapp uncertainty messes up him wanting to join us

We can't afford to be in limbo, if Levy isn't sure about Redknapp which seems to be the case, he must sack him now.

Why is the club in limbo FFS? They are still negotiating the contract, that is the nature of business. I swear to God, some people actually believe negotiations at Spurs should go like this;
H: morning Boss
DL: morning Aitch, what you after?
H: two years and 50 mill to spend
DL: done
H: cushdy

God give me strength

Levy's position re Redknapp is pretty unenviable, he has a media darling who knows how to work the press to his advantage, and while Levy maybe unhappy with how things went the last three months of the season on the pitch and behind the scenes, there are still the "never had it so good" fans and media who think 'arry's the best things since Warburtons Seedy batch.

So sacking him would heap unnecessary pressure on the club and we would have press coming at us from all angles with every half decent player wanting to leave (according to the press at least)

I don't think Levy will sack Redknapp, and was hoping for the England pay-off. but now should tell 'arry he has next season (not just till christmas as we could free fall again) to earn a new contract. And get in the players Levy feels are ones for the (short term/long term) future.

edit

but i would be happy for DL to turn all T9000 on Harry...
