Yep lets hope Vertonghen is signed up before the weekend... followed by Lloris, Afellay, Giroud and Adebayor ASAP! (y)

I appear to have stumbled into the Chelsea speculation thread. Could it be re-titled or could people just post in another (more appropriate) thread?

Cahill, Marin, hazard... All Harry targets. Dembele now? Think I'll get a little fiver on it. Already missed out badly on Rodgers and Lambert. Massively tipped off on Rodgers on Tuesday morning, which I posted on here, but refused to believe myself.

Winning some money might help me snap out of the spurs depression I've been in for quite a while now.
It's called Tottenhamitus, you get a few fleeting moments of ecxtasy followed by long periods of depression and self loathing

Mods can we please ban the people disliking posts in the RO. It seems like an absolutely stupid thing to do.

im going to go through them later and see if anyone is just going through doing this.
At the moment we cant stop them from doing this, but if they are just abusing it then they might lose their access to it.

Recommend an update to the ITK Rules thread on the ITK page to make sure new people have something to be pointed to whilst they have their noses rapped like a bad pup.

Not sure we need to leap to banning completely, but breaks from the ITK sections for first offenders might be appropriate.

God it's all doom and gloom in here today. It seems like a lot of people are more concerned with what we don't have rather than what we do have.

So Chelsea may get in a new manager, while Liverpool are bringing in Rodgers. We have one of the most experienced managers in the league who has got us playing some of the best football in the country. Not only are we playing with style (the Tottenham way) but we're consistently competing for top 4 finishes having successfully finished 4th twice under Harry.

So Chelsea have signed Marin and Hazard. We already have 2 of the most exciting young wingers in the country who on their day can rip any defence apart. They've been at the club long enough to know the system and they fit perfectly into our style of play. We can hurt teams on the front foot or on the counter. Plus they're both improving still.

Here's hoping we sign someone today just to cheer you all up :)

I think it's just a natural response to teams around us seemingly moving forward whilst we are apparently in manager limbo. Chelsea are signing some excellent players and Liverpool have signed up an excellent manager (with the added kicker that many thought he was perfect for us).

Meanwhile, I think alot of us expected big changes this summer with a new manager and possibly a new approach. As it happens we still have Harry and we don't have that exciting feeling of a new chapter coming.

Obviously it's all a bit daft because we've done exceptionally well under Harry, we're about to sign one of the most promising defenders in Europe and generally we've been progressing well for the last 3 years. But I think people saw this summer as the time we'd take the fabled 'next step' and that's why there's the doom and gloom you're talking about.

Personally rather than doom and gloom I'm experiencing 'meh and huh?' I just want things to be sorted at the top so that we can move forwards, whether that's with Harry or without him.

Anyone notice how Roman has his spending sprees when there is no manager in place!

No matter who is the coach, that guy will always be the manager! Glad its not our club despite all the wonga

Is it possible that Abramovic doesn't understand the FFP rules that are coming in and just wants to splash the cash whilst there is no manager to try and steer him in the right direction. Alternatively, he has already decide who will be manager but enjoys the uncertainty, and therefore the attention from the press. It's a bit like a spolit child with a new toy really!

The thing is, no one has really made any actual moves yet other tham the Marin and Podolski moves which leave me a bit Maeh and the Rodgers to Liverpool which is interesting.

It's all huff and puff over nothing much right this minute, supposed signings all over the board are all unconfirmed, so what are we getting in a huff about? It's like everyone was expecting Jose Mourinho or Pep to walk in the door the moment the season ended and lay out their vision for signing all the world class players and winning the league next season.

Some a re more level headed but want to see the odd concrete news of imminent signings and to a degree fair enough, but, let's not cook our goose before the transfer window is even opened.

I think most importantly what we want to know is what is happening with Harry. Plenty are happy either way (if he stays or goes) but one thing is for sure, we just want to know so we can focus on other things and even more importantly, have the feeling that the club is focussing on more important things as well.

Liverpool have a good manager yes, but he has a lot to prove and the squad he inherits is not the best.
Chelsea appear to be signing some interesting talent but are yet to name their manager so they too still have a lot of uncertainty.

The grass is not always greener people. Relax... We look dead certain to land Vertonghen, which is considered a really astute signing and the WINDOW STILL ISN'T OPEN.

I think we will know soon enough what is going on and all the ITK points so far towards a positive summer.

Keep it coming friends.

Although I get some ITK, personally I like it when its seems quite at the club, history tells us that is when things are happening at the club and the loopholes have been closed. I expect Verts to sign tomorrow and I believe Harry and Levy are talking today with lawyers, so patience people patience.

Unfortunately, some people can't see further than the end of their nose - i'm sure once we get to 1st September we will be more than pleased with our summer transfer policy.

It's so funny that we're calling for patience and it's not even June just yet.

I can't wait for the Euros to start so we have a distraction from all the transfer talk. I'm sure we'll cast our eye on some talent involved in the tournament as well, so things might liven up for everyone after the Euros.
