We need a first choice cb. Livermore aint it whatever llm says.

But Vertonghen, Kaboul and Dawson are 1st choice CBs. You can't buy another one, just for one or two games, we need someone young, with potential, but also who won't kick up a stink on the bench, because the other 3 will play the majority of games.

Kaboul has been out for a year. Dawson was to be sold, we need a cb to play with verts. Kaboul will have to work his way back in.
Why did we sell caulker? Because he was not ready to be first choice and we needed the money to buy someone who was. This unfortunately fell through. But i think we will buy a first choice cb before the start of the season.

I'm not sure they will play the majority of games...we all hope so but at least 2 have a history of injuries! We need sufficient cover that we are not relying on players out of position.

Agreed - just because they are similar build does in no way shape or form transcends to a similar level of understanding and reading of the game at CB.

Lunacy if we are deeming Livermore a viable option at CB.

Not wanting to get deep into this debate but it seems most posters on here think spurs players only play once a week. I'm pretty sure they train and as part of that have practice matches most days. If AVB sees jake as a cover for CB then I suggest he has based that on evidence that he's seen whilst working with the player. Lets move on now.

Too quiet right now on the incoming transfer front. Something has to give soon as we cant go in to the first game with all the Bale nonsense hanging over us and no centre back or first team left back as we know bae isnt fancied.

But then we have gone in to the last 4 seasons without a proper striker. So perhaps i shouldnt be shocked when it happens.

I just hope we manage to nab Erikson from ajax as he will give us that spark in midfield.

What's ironic about that? I said surely he's a better option. Veljkovic has much more game time under his belt of playing centre back in competitive matches. Not saying he's ready for this leap but he understands the position way better than Livermore does. Not sure the need to 'attempt' to call me out.

Chill Mr Enfield yiddo, don't be so sensitive. I wasn't calling you out. In fact I happen to agree with you about Veljkovic being a potentially better option than Livermore.

However the point remains that it is ironic because both are converted midfielders and one has more first team experience over the other...and its not the one we are rooting for.
