Tottenham are not expected to sign a new striker on transfer deadline day while moves for Wolves Adama Traore or Ruben Neves are deemed unlikely, football.london understands.

Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. Spending £25m on a fourth right back but not replacing any of Bale/Vinicius/Sissoko and relying on Kane and Son to work miracles again.

Cannot disagree with this at all.

Ally Gold saying no striker will be signed. One of Paratici's criticisms was leaving Juve with an unbalanced squad. 4 Right backs, 3 left backs, and no real back up to Kane......

I guess there's always the possibility of using Doherty as a makeweight in potential deals with Wolves, but that feels like a shame.

I know people don't rate him on here but if we have to have one slightly inept RB in the squad, I'd choose Doherty who wants to be here over Aurier who doesn't, not least because Serge has form for causing drama whereas Matt does not.

*catches grenade and throws it back.

I wouldn't worry about Ally's tweet. Talks are definitely still ongoing as things stand.

Emerson?Aurier?
SkippSissoko
SessegnonBale
Vinicius

Not like for like, especially Sess vs. Bale, but in numbers we are lacking Vini
I would say Bale was brought in as an extra player last season, as we were hardly light on wingers when he signed (with no-one was sold).

When you put it like that, it does seem like pretty pathetic forward planning.

Let's hope Ally is a bit behind on his Traore info.

That's not a Paratici issue, that's been a THFC issue for years.

I'm perfectly happy with the Emerson deal, Tanganga can be cb, Doherty backup rb and Aurier can rot in the reserves, see how his big move will be like then

Either Scarlett becomes a regular first teamer now (which I doubt) or we overload Son & Kane, which is going to affect us in the long run

4 right backs if Aurier doesn't leave.

Emerson might be good but that's total over load. Use the money to get Traore.

This has confused me all window - we are told we’d need to shift Sissoko, Winks or Ndombele to bring a CM in or Dier, Sanchez need to leave to sign another CB - yet we have signed another RB for 30m and have been chasing another winger for considerably more than that. And you can only play one RB and one RW, you can literally play twice as many CBs and CMs at any one time

Whats this got to do with Paratici ?
We were unbalanced even before he came in.
To me, it looks like Nuno said he wanted a new RB - Paratici delivered with Emerson. If we cant move 1 player on, why is that on him ?
Tanganga became a RB because Nuno been playing him there - its not by design we have him as RB

I don't know why Emerson is spoken like he would prevent us getting someone else in another position. We need a right back, 2 of our current 3 are not good enough. If this so happens to be the position that we can fill today then it's good business. It won't stop us trying for other positions too. Ndombele and Aurier can sit at home playing FIFA for all I care. It will just mean some players left out of the squad for Europe. I really don't know why it matters if we have a bloated squad as long as we have enough quality.

There is the noon low down. Its not acceptable how we leave us short up front/ in the creative area. 12 hours to make something happen....

There is nothing wrong with a player seeing out his contract.
