I'm definitely clutching at straws (what else is there right now?!) but JJ only says Falcao is the stuff of dreams, not Llorente
I think he actually meant as in a dream player. Still says there's no chance however - wages out of our reach.

So basically that article is suggesting that the problem lies with the amount of money Ade wants after his contract with Man City would have finished? I'm not sure why the reporter was blaming Ade for the fact that he hasn't played for City much. Surely that's down to the manager? The problem here is that Man City seem to think that footballers are disposable assets that they can just pick up and throw away when they want. If they offer players stupid wages and long contracts then they are hardly going to be happy when you try and get rid of them. What is Roque Santa Cruz doing these days? Just keeping Ade company?

What a load of guff. After reading that I just had to post something.

City are bent over the barrel due to their scatter gun approach with collecting top players on astronomical wages and high end transfer fees. With Ade they have since bought Tevez, Aguero, Dzeko, Ballotelli in his position alone. Add to that list Roque Santa Cruz on 100k a week and a fee of 15m

The way he has described Ade for holding city to the terms of the contract they willfully offered is nothing short of a smear campaign.

Cash is king when city blow everyone else out of the water for players, why not for the players themselves?

That's about Falcao again, no?

Sorry I misunderstood you. Thought you believed he was mentioning Falcao and not Llorente because we are after the former not the latter. Yes he did not dismiss Llorente so you can continue clutching at straws ;)

Since we like gambling on Court outcomes, how bout a double bid for Benzema and Ribery?? Surely we can get them on a discount now they have been officially prosecuted and then just keep our fingers crossed they aren't put behind bars!! Mind you if we do that we should all stop taking our daughters to WHL, it will be dangerous! :)

Really, if your negotiating stance is: 'What are you on? Whatever it is, we'll double it' you have only yourself to blame.

Like the post from the Journo. Fingers crossed we get Lloris done.

The bit where JJ says "I can't say what's going on" - Does anyone else wonder if that's hinting at the investment in the club? If someone is negotiating an offer for the club would we go out and spend money on players before it was completed?

Maybe not before completed but definitely before it's public knowledge, otherwise we would be held to ransom on every transfer!

So POTL will speak tis morning will he?
Pretty sure it will just be a different spin on everything that's already been said...

I'm not expecting anything to happen on a positive note. If it does then all good. If it doesn't then I'll still expect whoever dons the striker's jersey on Saturday to put in the required performance.

The latest ITK is a confusing mix of positive and negative...optimism and pessimism...good and pure evil.

I am very very confused.

Falcao? Llorente? You guys need to get real. It takes months and months to finalize a deal with Ade. It took months to close the deal for Vertonghen (an easy deal when you think about it). Levy is yet to sign a striker after all these years. And you think we'll sign one of these out of the blue? I've lost all faith in Levy and I am tired of expecting a miracle every transfer window. I don't expect anything now. He'll sell Modric and won't spend the money.

Couldn't agree more SS57. The market is so skewed now with world class players, and players not even at that level, holding out for an oil rich club that will pay them 150k a week plus. When Real, Barca, the Milan teams and Utd are struggling to compete there is a problem.

For what its worth i believe Ade will eventually sign for us, City have no option but to get him off the books by the end of the window.

Seems like JJetset is going against all the other ITK's atm. It feels like it could be a bit like Highlander in the end, "There can be only one".

very concerned. can definitely see this summer ending up like when we sold berba - last minute deal for modric to real with no replacements coming in. we have absolutely no chance at top 4 at this rate!

If this is the case I would suggest that you are very much in the wrong forum.
