Siggy is an interesting one as he was one of the few who really contributed to the final push at the latter end of the session; this despite a slow start. Let us also not forget he is classified as homegrown.

My take is that we have a wide man and off the front midfielder in our plans and Siggy might release the funds and wages for it.

I am also expecting Damiao if Ade goes; he has few options left and we might go that extra few million if we do indeed sell a certain player.

Bizarrely, my big worry is now our defence. Short on numbers, injury concerns and players who have been know to suffer big fluctuations in form.

I'd be surprised if we don't have a CB ready to sign now we've let Caulker go having Jan injured and Kaboul only just back from a long-term injury. The times that I've seen Caulker, he's always been OK, but I don't think he is someone that can't be replaced by a better player. The money we've got is also a decent amount.

Couple of weeks before the season starts and it all seems rather chaotic, with half the squad seemingly up for sale. Slightly worrying.

Total fucking shambles it seems to me. But this summer with no excuse.

Don't think any of the ITKs called the Caulker sale until just before did they?

More evidence that we're running a bit of a tighter ship these days.

Personally, I don't think Siggy will go anywhere. Maybe thats more hope than reality prevailing, however. If Bale goes that may also allow Siggy more games in a central position where I'd like to see him, although that may have happened anyway with Bale moving to the right more. Siggy behind Soldado

Shame about Caulker, I really thought he had something, but understandable he doesn't want to be a back-up. He needs game time, so good luck to him.

Would be a shame to se Siggy go, I too thought he getting into his stride at the back end of last season. Unlikely ever to be a world-beater, but would be a good squad player for us this coming season, regardless of other incomings and outgoings. If he goes, it better be for a damn good profit, and there had better be others coming in to replace him.

Sobered up this morning, resigned to the whole Bale thing, I'll miss him but we'll move on. Since I only really use this thread, this will be the last I say on him, and looking forward to the ITK on who is coming to replace him. With all that money coming in, the rollercoaster that is the SC transfer rumours thread is going to carry on at full throttle for the next month!

And SOLDADO!!! Really excited about this. As long as he doesn't take too long to settle in, I'm confident he on his own can get close to filling the simian void, ONLY in terms of our goals scored column next season. We still have a hole to plug, don't get me wrong, but add a few goals from little Paul, maybe a few from Chadli, and maybe some more from whoever is going to come in over the next four weeks or so, and the future is definitely not as dark and depressing as some would have you believe.

COYS! Time to get behind the team and the manager, BSoDL or not.

Surely getting rid of players because we dont like an agent = jackpot for the agent?!

Everything is so up in the air, after what has been said our best player is leaving I just can't believe it. Will cash from his sale be invested, well I have visions of what happened after Berba left. Why do we this, its so stressful.

Todays word of the day is: getintherebaby!

PS: If it isn't announced today Levy is a **** and his bastard sons can take that and poke it up their arses.

Hey A&C, today's word of the day should be pinchpunch - you need to change the date on this thread! :)

Not ITK but is nt he on our radar?
Word earlier was that he's not nearly as far along as Vertonghen was, and that we don't rate him. Considering they tried to flog him to Norwich (which he refused), I'm quite sure we've been asked and turned them down.

Going back to LLM's info yesterday, I was excited to hear Velkjovic's name being mentioned. All the reports about him have been great and he has looked very good whenever I've seen him play for our other teams. We are at a stage now where only the best youngsters will be able to break into our match day squad properly, if he is being slightly fast tracked in then we must hold in pretty high esteem.
