Of course, I don't have to be interested though
Tremendous input. Thanks for that.

Not enough to spell his bloody name right though obviously.
I loved Gomez in goal. I would like to see him back in goal actually and think he should be given a chance under AVB.
I'm really starting to think that Chelsea's loss will be our massive gain in terms of AVB and his little experimental run at the Chavs....almost like a crash course in the prem (metaphorically and perhaps literally speaking ) will have been a huge learning experience for him and he's had the time to reflect on it. All the little touches so far point towards a man who knows what he needs to do now and the little comment about emotional warmth, although innocuous enough, is very telling. Chelsea was never the right environment for him, nor any manager in all probability. His technical intelligence has never been in doubt, it was more his tender years that probably hindered him coming here at first coupled by a very challenging environment at Chelsea.
Can't recall Mario Gomez ever playing in goal for us, but I was a big supporter of Gomes for quite a while until I realised he's the biggest bottler since Coca Cola.
Not much here but POTL (COYS) on Freund:
Could be one of the most inspired choices the club has ever made. Really rated as a coach and has is an aboslute fans favourite, will give AVB more time from the supporters due to the way the supporters feel about Steffen. Wonderful Bloke as well!
POTL
Very well put and echoes some of my thoughts about him. He's an up and coming manager now working with an up and coming team.
Despite being in charge of Chelsea I actually found him quite likeable during his time there, and hoped he would do well after he got sacked. I think Levy has got this appointment just right.
He might be a good person to have in the dressing room - but so would King and/or Nelson. And I'm not sure he would come on cheap wages. But his experience is something to consider - and he probably has that winning attitude that helps to build a winning team. New club captain?I think it's a good move. He's known AVB a long time so will know how he works. He's very experienced, played at the highest level, won things. Many Chelsea fans were gutted to see him leave; Thought that it was him that made JT look far better than he was. I think he'll add a wise head in the dressing room, and I'll feel confident as and when he's called up to do a job.
I don't think for one minute he'll be first on the team sheet.
He's temporary cover while we continue to blood Caulker and Verts gets used to the league. It may be he stays on in some form of back room staff... but for now, he's the new (and potentially hungrier) Gallas/Nelsen and replaces some of the composure we lose through King's expected retirement. I like Dawson, but he's always benefitted from playing alongside a someone more experienced, and Caulker would no doubt benefit too.
Add into all that, he'll be very cheap, he's used to the Premiership, the language and London.
Shrewd move, IMHO.
I'm not convinced that Carvalho would be a great move - but at the same time is Gallas the sort of person that would be happy on the bench and would still be a leader in the clubhouse? I'm not so sure. His times at Chelsea and that other place weren't without incident.I don't really see the need for Carvalho. We have King and Dawson who both have experience of the league and can help Caulker develop. Gallas is also still about in terms of winning mentality.
I raise you with this..
Watch Corlukas expression on 1.17 - says it all.
If only he could cut out the daft mistakes he would be world class.
Shameless attempt to keep kinda on topic - I wonder what the ITKers will make of AVBs Lloris comment?

Good video. But I'm sorry to see it. I'd forgotten how many stupid mistakes Gomes made. I like the guy. And he can make incredible saves. But it's time to move on...Having seen the first video, I wanted to see Gomes play for us again! After watching the second I want him sold.
Phew, that was some changing emotions!
Is Freund really a "fan favourite"? I always thought it was kind of in an ironic way.
Gomes - simply put, he does the hard things amazingly well, but he does the easy things badly.
The problem having him in goal was the not the howlers themselves, although we could have done without them. It was the lack of confidence that the defence had in him. It made the whole team panic.
I was not convinced getting Brad in was what we needed but I changed my mind when I saw the new found confidence in the defence.
I am not sure giving Gomes another chance is the right thing. One mistake and the media will be on him like a rash and he might never recover
He was a cult hero, not the best player but a character and someone who gave 100% every time and loved the club and he was clearly loved by the bulk of the Spurs fans.Is Freund really a "fan favourite"? I always thought it was kind of in an ironic way.
