Never bite the hand that feeds you! :D
That's right Breeze! I couldn't agree with you more. He really ought to pull his finger (although admittedly it's unlikely to be a finger) out and give us the ITK that we so richly deserve for being such wonderful, well behaved, good natured and on-topic donators!

Hewlett Packard: shame
Harkening back to Sugar
Makes me sad today.

I agree I think that this maybe a double edged sword for us as in to secure huge financing/sponsorship we need to be playing football at the highest level eg UCL but we can't qualifying for top four as we can't or won't spend enough to get the really top players.
It seems that we are still not considered a really big club by major blue chip companies so I guess this is the best we can do until we can compete in UCL or win things.

In regards to an earlier question. No, I would not be happy if P&V where our only signings this summer. We defiantly need some more creativity, a left wing flair playmaker essentially. A new left back wouldn't go amiss ether. Creativity was a big problem for us last season and I really feel we spent a lot of time reeling from Ratboys departure. P&V would be great signings but we need someone who can outwit defences both in passing play and with the dribble from an attacking position. Coutinho would have been perfect, Lamela and Bernard would be great but seem out of our reach... Maybe Deulofeu on loan but only if we have an option to buy... Which we prob wouldn't.

We also need another striker even if villa comes in as what we have won't be good enough compared to sides around us plus villa is bound to get injured second week of september and be out for months.
So it's important to bring another one in plus what you have said.

Holtby,Dembele, Sandro, Paulinho a good start all under 25yrs. Tom Carroll should get more games under his belt this season. More power than creativity, but that will improve our counter attacking and defensive stability. Holtby can be our number 10 IMO. But as the earlier comment said a creative player from the wing would improve us immensely...

Our most promising team in a fair while that's all about looking towards the future is going to have a sponsor that hasn't been relevant since 1996.

I can't think of anything more Spurs.

Massively over-reacting really. Mansion provided us one of the biggest shirt deals in history at the time and Investec/Autonomy are massive.

If you read the earlier stuff from the guy who has revealed that we're going with Hewlett Packard, he says that we were trying to tie up a dual deal for shirt/stadium naming rights. That obviously didn't work which meant we've had to negotiate a rushed shirt sponsorship deal. As a result I'd be surprised if our HP deal is a long term one. More just a marriage of convenience I suspect and certainly not worthy of going into a spiralling depression about how we're not considered a big club.

I get what your saying and I'm not suicidal over it just stating how we compare to other's like chelsea and their recent 300 mill deal kit sponsor.
Ours is good but we are not in the same league as we don't win anything or compete at the highest levels in Europe like they do so all things considered we do ok at a level under them.
