Really good to see this, if the big guns are all turning them down it won’t be going anywhere thank god.
I just absolutely despise them, hopefully more sports and personalities will start doing the right thing.

Apologies if I’m being a bit thick here but am I right in thinking he was trying to use the proposed Saudi tour to get a better cut/deal from the PGA tour and he had no intention of going anywhere near the Saudi’s in the first place?
Can’t disagree with what he’s said, it’s all out there anyway and it’s only what everyone thinks anyway!

I'm off to Portugal on Thursday morning for 3 nights but I managed to sprain my left thumb during a round on Thursday and can now barely grip a club let along put in a full swing. Absolutely gutted as Thursday was my first proper round since I sprained it in October.

Has anyone got any advice about how I can prevent this from happening again in the future? For the trip I've found that if I don't use my left thumb In the grip that I can probably get away with a 50% swing so will channel my inner 80yr old self and play like a pensioner.

wtf!!! How have you managed to sprain your thumb???

What type of grip do you use, Vardon/Interlocking or Baseball?

Left or right handed? First time I’ve ever heard of someone having a thumb problem ?‍♂️

Interlocking, left thumb. Did it first time at the range after a poor 18...was trying to channel my inner Bryson and the pain I felt straight away made me drop my driver and turn the air blue.

Probably depends what you want to do re golf - just absolutely smash the ball as far as you can or try to play properly!! (What is your handicap?)

Anyway my advise would be to change your grip asap to the Vardon. It puts literally no pressure on the thumb

It may feel weird and it will undoubtedly take you time to adjust but it will stop you spraining your thumb anymore!!

As your thumb is still really painful it might not be able to change atm, you might have to get through the Portugal trip as best you can first….

Go see a pro & get that grip changed/looked at - your probably gripping the club too hard as well

Good luck

Just got back from Cascais this evening and using a baseball grip with slight interlock I managed to get 3 full rounds in. Bloody windy the first 2 days but had a gorgeous day today and actually played some of my best golf in ages. Going to persevere with the baseball grip and see how things go over the next few months.

After the fun of watching the worlds best repeatedly dunk the ball in the drink at 17 yesterday, Shane Lowry has just holed his tee shot today! Terrific reaction!

Was a great moment

So 17 is 123 yards this afternoon with about 5mph of wind in your face

What’s everyone hitting?

………a little knock down cutty 8 iron for me

Proper bad luck for Casey last night. Was in prime position to catch the lead and that happens to him. Must be so frustrated!

Tiger listed as a competitor for The Masters.

Delighted to see Seamus Power just about confirm his place at it as well with 2 wins in 2 at the WGC so far this week.
