absolutely crucial the way we play this bearing in mind the cup final on the 24th. Although slavia are not that great even Arsenal found it hard to break them down in Prague. It should be a case of playing the best possible team in Prague and hopefully a team that is good enough to finish off the job at the lane. I think Ramos won't take any chances and will go with something on the lines of this:

AWAY LEG:

----------------------CERNY---------------------

LENNON---------JENAS------HUDDLESTONE--MALBRANQUE

--------------BERBATOV-------KEANE----------------

HOME LEG:

---------------------ROBINSON--------------------

--------------------BENT--------KEANE-------------

Where's Hutton?

And the team we field in the second leg will depend entirely on how we did in the first. If we win by two goals or more away a lot of players will almost certainly be rested. If we don't, we'll have to play the regulars.

Cup tied. Registered for Rangers for UEFA even though they didn't take part.

Hutton can't play unfortunately as he is cup tied but i would expect him to line-up in the cup final. Let's hope we can come away with a positive result in the away otherwise we'll have to play most of our cup final line-up in the 2nd leg.

I'd be surprised if King took part in either of those games. I reckon he'll be rested until the final. Perkhart for the bench?

i should hope Pekhart gets a chance on the bench. I think King needs a little run out before the cup final.

Normally i'd agree, but when he came back against Fulham after 84 years out, it looked like he'd never been away. He really did fit in straight away. I know Fulham ain't Chelsea, but i don't think it'll matter too much. Drogba relies more on his physical attributes than his pace and King should be able to deal with that. Hopefully.

i'd expect us to line up against a chelsea team of:

-------------------CECH---------------------

BELLETTI--------TERRY----CARVALHO-----A COLE

SWP--------ESSIEN--------MAKALELE-----J COLE

------------DROGBA--------SHEVCHENKO-------

Is Pekhart ready for first team games?

Would like to see Rose given a shot if we are bring up some youngsters. Seems to be the pick of the reserves from the reports.

We rejected a loan bid from QPR from him in the window, so it suggests that maybe we have plans for him, even if it's only in these kind of games.

I think the 2nd leg vs Prague is an ideal game to work him into to first team, provided we do the business in the 1st leg. He'd be at home, against him old club, against weaker (not weak, but weaker) opposition than in a Premier League game, and most importantly the pressure would be off.

The idea would be to give Keane and Berbatov a break before the cup final. Maybe bring them both on with 20 minutes to go, just to keep them 'fresh and on their toes' ready for the big one.

Or it could be because he needs too full seasons in our accademy to be classed as coming through our system. Not sure if going out on loan during that time would still count as us developing the player.

Surpose it realy depends on what we do in the first leg, wouldn't want to guess the second legged team till after that one.

As strong as possible away, rest as many as possible at home. Agree it would be nice to see Rose or Dervitte at some time. Maybe even Gilberto.
