my Gooner mate has just annoyed me by saying he honestly thinks chelsea and fucking LIVERPOOL!!! with finish above us, and he honestly believes that, not just a wind up.

I know our run in is hard, but liverpool!? if we dont at least come away with a point on monday then i will be shocked, they are just a bunch of brutish cloggers. Stoke Deluxe if you will

Least he doesnt believe arsenal will finish above us

Liverpool 1
Newcastle 3
Arsenal 3
Man U 1
Everton 3
soke 3
Chelsea 0

A lot of people seem to be forgetting that all of our rivals have a very difficult fixture list aswell over the next two months.

which i think we should all be happy with

I don't think 12 points is a bad haul. It's what I expect us to get though, any better would be a bonus I guess.

To be honest as long as we keep daylight between ourselves and the Chelsk I'm happy. I don't consider l'Arse as even realistic competition :hump:

True.
I think a lot of folk (not necessarily on this thread) are mis-underestimating us...as per usual.
We have just come within a whisker of ending Citeh's unbeaten home record (an 11 man Citeh, and not a 9 man Citeh, as should have finished the game ), which should say everything anyone wants to know about how good we can be away from home.
Teams fear us...yeah, that's right, they FEAR us. They know that we have players that can damage them at a moment's notice.
And our lot are going to be mega-fired up, as Bale, in particular, was last night - due to the perceived injustice and disappointment of that Etihad defeat.

As others have said, if we can keep our first 11 fit-ish, we should be able to get a reasonable points tally from these games - and fiish the Chelsea game within 5 points of the lead and we will have a genuine shot at the title.

10 points or more would do the job

Liverpool (A) - 1
Newcastle (H) - 3
Arsenal (A) - 1
Man U (H) - 1
Everton (A) - 1
Stoke (H) - 3
Chelsea (A) - 1

That's 11 points right there, although I expect we'll lose one of the away games. Knowing us, we'll thump Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea and lose to Everton

To tricky to call, a typical spurs move would be beat Livepool, Arse and Chelsea and then lose to Stoke and Everton.

Thankyou, Gardham...some folk want to just look at our fixtures, in total isolation, bleat about how hard they are and draw the very worst case scenario...as though that is likely and all that will happen and our opponents will all win their next seven games easily. It don't work like that.

City will drop more points.

Well, that is what I thought looking at that fixture list, as well.

United still to visit us, and still to play at the Etihad...could give us scope to pull a bit closer again

On paper, the Goons look to have the easiest run of games in this sequence (but will there be CL games to be added?).

So after the seventh of these games is concluded, can we expect a thread stressing the importance of the following eight?

The window was only a let-down for the 'Want that one!' brigade.

sorry to be negative but I dont think we are particulary playing well. Injuries are taking their toll and this could be a real possibility IMO.

Where would this leave us I wonder? probably 4th. Just...
