Isn't he meant to have an attitude problem?

I think it was JJ who said AVB didn't want him, but yeah I've certainly read he's a bit arrogant. Makes you wonder why Real actually bought him in the first place. He was young player/player of the year in the Bundesliga prior to making the move and has since been wasted in Spain. Saying that, he was injured for 2/3 of the campaign. Perhaps they were expecting another Ozil, but for that they have to play the guy.

Anything that is about Real Madrid and is printed directly from AS is significant

So Duncan CAstles, who has supposed lcose links to AVB, says we are in for M'Vila. JJ then pooh pooh's this.

So do we now take anything Duncan Castles says a little less serious now?

He posted about an article on Twitter last night regarding Redknapps dismissal. Link that was supposed to take you to full story on The Nationals website didnt work, so havent read the full article. Hopefully it appears today as it started off pretty well...

'A self-centred, tactically naïve coach. One who lost his players' respect through a failure to communicate and angered his employer by sidelining expensively acquired signings? Yes, you can see why #THFC rid themselves of Harry Redknapp.

The process was not quite as Daniel Levy hoped for. A conviction for tax evasion would have allowed Tottenham's chairman to divest himself of Redknapp without a pay-off. The Football Association succumbing to rabid press demand that their favourite to succeed Fabio Capello as England manager would have been better still, netting compensation for a man Levy considered a liability.

Ultimately a sacking was required. Redknapp rewarded for his repeated demands that his White Hart Lane contract be extended with its termination. Redknapp's many media allies were outraged. How could Tottenham dismiss a manager who'd delivered two top-four finishes in three years? Complaints intensified when it became clear that Redknapp's successor was to be Andre Villas-Boas, fresh from a brief, ugly spell at Chelsea.

Tellingly, there were far fewer moans from Tottenham supporters. The majority formed a frustrated group who'd grown tired of Redknapp's self-contradictory, oft self-serving words and welcomed change. Tottenham's players stayed remarkably quiet – if they were upset by the loss of a coach reputed to be one of the best man managers in the English game, most kept that discontent to themselves.

Redknapp's beheading, Villas-Boas' anointment was no hasty action. Levy had been looking for a new coach for the whole of last season. Extensive discussions were held with another casualty of Roman Abramovich's ire before Carlo Ancelotti received a more lucrative invite from Paris Saint-Germain; the position was also offered to Jose Mourinho as the Real Madrid manager looked to return to the Premier League.....

So who reckons the "variables" have the initials NS :)

That was my first thought. Sahin has been hevaily linked this weekend, but if that is the case, why has Levy allegedly asked for time to sign a replacement before it is officially announced...? Unless, and this is all guesswork, it actually just means tying up other deals (Lloris/Adebayor/Damaio etc) before everyone finds out we have a big wad of spanish cash and adjusts their prices accordingly...
If however, the €32m is just cash, not involving any player, I cannot see that as being realistic, I cannot see Levy back tracking that much over the fee, dependant on the add ons obviously, as lets be honest, any add ons based on success should come to fruition, as they are pretty much bankers to share their domestic cups/league with Barca every season.

you can't be serious when asking that? why would we sell Kyle Walker? Are you mad?

What are you talking about fool? ;)
I am asking Ryan if in his opinion they have their Kyles mixed up and he 'Thinks' its Naughton.
Or if he Knows it is Naughton through his strictly heterosexual relationship with JJ.

That is all. Selling Walker has never entered my head.

lol, the reports are saying we are gonna get only £25m + add on for modric whom we have a 4 year contract left? please remember we got £30m for a 30year old with 2 years of contract left. unless the add on is benzema/higuain or sahin on perm, i dont think we will accept such a low fee.

I saw that tweet earlier. Not quite sure what he means by it. His agent would only be looking to get modric whatever he wants surely?

I thought Kia Joorabchian was Modric's agent, or is he just some kind of advisor?
