I am ecstatic with the current squad as is, tbh.
However, I'd absolutely love it if we could pull of a last-minute steal for just one more top quality player.
Tbf, the supposed cryptics in the last 24 hrs imo aren't cryptic at all, but I believe we'd be slightly amiss if we didn't address at least one of the following:
1) LWF (who can play striker), such as Muniain or Griezmann, etc. / or conversely a CF or even another CAM who can play out wide, such as Pastore (who's a natural trequartista, but can play inverted LW)
or
2) a top quality LB (Criscito, Sandro, etc) - just throwing some names out, not saying they're linked or anything (in the case of LB's)

I won't be disappointed, but rather a bit surprised if we don't address at least one of the aforesaid positions, that's all.

We need a full back that is as quick as a winger, can run past people and get crosses in, accurately.

Die to us playing 4231 or 433, this is a VITAL position for the whole system to work. We are quite happy to say that JD or Lennon should be a squad player, so I dont see why people are so over protective about Rose.

Coentrao fits the description above perfectly, and so does Walker, which is why he is needed.

No-ones fucking slating him or scapegoating him - You're misusing those words.

To have an onion that a said player isn't up to the standard of the rest of the team is an observation and a fair one at that.

King wasn't good enough to play consistently for us in his very last season and we all acknowledged that; does that mean we were 'slating' and 'scapegoating' him?

Hes quick running in a straight line when defending, but he doesnt have the dribbling skill to be an attacking threat against a top team.

i personally think danny has done really well. 4 games no goals conceded.
Also some ppl have forgot we signed vlad and i think he is Dawsons replacement.
I like daws but his distrubition is poor.
Teams know this and will isolate him, knowing he cant pass.
Any how this transfer window is been sensational and couldnt care less if it shut now.
Although Messi would round it up nicely, ok im dreaming to much

100%. Dawson slow's the play down because he is weak on the ball. Id expect Vlad to be given a run pretty soon. From what Ive seen of him in the europa league he looks class.

I don't need video clips to tell that Coentrao is good, besides you can make Rasiak look good on youtube. But Coentrao isn't coming, well at least so all the ITK suggests so far, non? I've no problem getting top upgrade on him if we can afford it, it's not the point, the point is he is not some weak link that hinders our chances massively, nor will some Daley Blind be upgrade on him.

I think we should all be happy, because ultimately what AVB is doing, is replacing all our old players with footballers, where maybe before we had athletes.

Vlad for Caulker, Eriksen for Dempsey etc etc...

Once we get all these players bedded in, I think we will surprise alot of people at how fluid and beautiful our play is.

It may not even be a case of a top upgrade, but someone that is more suited to AVB's style of play. I was just using Coentrao as an example.

This is a forum. And your entitled to your opinion. But we can't afford the very top players. We have got a great team of young players. Most have never done it at a real top level. Yet you want rid of a player that has been very good in the prem. the prem which lamela vlad Eric and co have yet to play in! I think so many people are getting really carried away with what we will achieve this year. We have not just signed messi Ronaldo or persie

It's just about improving our first XI, the next weakest spot in my opinion and seemingly many others is left-back, not saying that Rose is a bad player or that his crossing/dribbling/positioning or whatever is dodgy, I just feel we have the capability to sign a player who is better.

Chiriches is the bees knees and is gonna be a fans favourite.

I think people have just got carried away with the thought that we've spent so much money on other areas and are willing to go into the season with selling BAE and keeping just Rose

Rose isn't far off off cont in style of player. Neither are great in defence and both like to push up the pitch.
