I've not always been convinced by the JJ love-in, but if that's true then fair play.

I would just like to know a little more about the Bernard ITK last night. I am not at all knocking him as i think he has a lot of very good insider info as you can see from the highlighted tweet and i dont think anyone should ever knock the hand that feeds. I would just like to know more about that potential deal as Burt clearly had similar info so something must have happend backstage... unless, of course, we are still going for him.

Yeah, he should be sold. I would have thought Almeria would do everything in their power to get him back but they did land Suso on loan. Maybe they just want to keep loaning players in, however.

Loan him. Think he'll be worth more than what we can get for him now.

Gutting if we sell Townsend. Proved his worth on loan and is great competition for wings and good understudy for Bale... Hope we don't.

Even Falque deserves a go. He is very creative and has a great eye for a pass.

Got a horrible feeling we're going to keep ignoring our youths we've developed in search of an immediate fix for the first team.

shame we couldn't afford benteke. a front six of sandro, dembele, paulinho, bale, chadli, benteke would've been the most powerful front six ever.

Bale is superior on the right cutting in on his favored left foot (see: a majority of his match winners last year). Unfortunately, I do agree with Lennon, but you should put your best player in their best position to succeed. For Bale, in the 4-3-3, that's on the right. It's also why I wouldn't be surprised to see Lennon sold if he shows he can't adapt to playing on the left as an inverted winger.

I dont disagree - I was highlighting that Lennon was written down to play on the left - he shouldnt. If Bale is to go on the right then we need someone to play on the left.

I would question your comment about putting your best player in their favoured position - not always the case imo as you have to balance up the rest of the team ie would we be better with Bale on the left and lennon on the right or Bale on the right with Dempsey on the left (as Dempsey is better on the left than Lennon)?

I'll be livid if we sell Townsend.

Academy graduate who's a Spurs fan, has an outstanding 6 months out on loan in the premier league and it's a position where we're not exactly stacked in. Anything under £10m and we've had our pants pulled down.

Spot on. It would be like selling Walker after his Villa spell.

Yeah, there's definitely truth in your rebuttal. While Bale went off playing in the hole, it did seem to disjoint our attack and it instantly became "Get the ball to Bale and pray he comes up big" and he often did.

I think Chadli on the left really balances the squad nicely. Between he and Bale, we realistically have two match-winning wide forwards. Chadli will obviously take some time to settle in, but once he does (and I don't think it will take long) it should look a lot like how Bale will on the right but with a bit more incisive passing and obviously less raw pace.

Chadli, Bale and a CF (Either a new one of Adebayor playing to his potential) and we will have an incredibly solid starting XI with goals throughout it.

I don't understand why this is so hard to understand..

As everything stands:

LW: Chadli, Lennon, Siggy, Dempsey
RW: Bale, Townsend, Falque

Now, looking at the midfield; we can expect one box-to-box, one attacking midfielder and one defensive midfielder to form our midfield three.

AM: Siggy, Holtby, Carroll
B2B: Dembele, Paulinho, Huddlestone
DM: Sandro, Paulinho, Parker, Livermore

Obviously we can elect to go with 2 B2B on occasion in Paulinho/Dembele, but as it stands we have the necessary depth at key positions. If anything, we are going to now focus on player sales for players deemed to be surplus.

Bolded = Players potentially sold
Blue/Underlined = Players potentially loaned
I agree with most of this but I personally I don't want to see Siggy on the wing ever as he only comes alive when he cuts in or gets in the box

From watching Falque on loan, I still think we need him to play a important role, as he is creative and unlike Chadli he isn't direct, who when I seen him for Belgium is likes to run at teams and create chances. I think we would potentially regret letting him leave unless it involved one of the swap deals you hated for a spanish striker we need.

I Actually think the person at risk is Lennon, as for me both him and Townsend are playing the same role and im not surprised of talk of Townsend going on loan as i think unlike Falque he has to prove that he is better than Lennon imo. I posted this yesterday as wing options for this season:
RW:Bale, Lennon or Townsend
LW:BernardChadli, Falque

This is the first season, that Lennon imo isn't a guaranteed starter. I also think Townsend can play the lennon role on the wing and if Bale was injured Townsend could play a similar style to him albeit shitter.

I also agree with that last sentiment and don't see it as a 2 for every role more as Sandro and one of Paulinho and Dembele fighting for that slot next to him and then see it as the loser of that battle fighting for that one space. I also think Siggy will be our go to sub for CM when we need a goal.

well begining of the window we all wanted a midfielder a goalscoring left winger and a world class striker we got 2 of them now all we need is the main one nos and finally we could start a season signing all the players we need before the season even starts we also will hopefully have sandro and kaboul back rose as our new LB who looked very promising and also townsend to provide cover but it does seem from the latest itk and the signing of chadli that avb doesn't seem to rate him which is a shame cos whenever i saw him last season he looked very good but then again i trust avb's opinion more than mine

Yep, stick 'handsomecake' in your notebook everyone.

Called it early today with his first post in months, barely anyone noticed, cos they were still hungover.

Not really anything indicating he's 'ITK'. We were all reading Chadli was done in the Chadli thread due to reports in the Belgian media before he said anything.

He also said this earlier in his posting career.
sandro = zokora

fan favorite due to his antics
surging runs
fuck all else
So, you know...

Where? What? What do you mean?
Each other Household name signing.....
Are you MonkeyBastardHands? No? Not your problem then.

1) Chadli is a household name (in Belgium)
2) if you look carefully (well, look at least) below the line about "household name", you will notice the other option given.

Have you donated yet for Chadli, MidoNdefoe?
