UEFA's wording:

A "club-trained player" is a player who, between the age of 15 (or the start of the season during which he turns 15) and 21 (or the end of the season during which he turns 21), and irrespective of his nationality and age, has been registered with his current club for a period, continuous or not, of three entire seasons (i.e. a period starting with the first official match of the relevant national championship and ending with the last official match of that relevant national championship) or of 36 months.

That's definitely a rewording for this year, so that's good for Parrott

Last year is just said between 15 and 21

It's not, it's always been the case. In the articles they always genralise and say between 15 and 21 but in the official documents they always clarify end of season in which they turn 21.

I seem to have this convo once a year.

So does that mean Parrott definitely won’t go out on loan this year?
I imagine his development would take president over being club trained HG.

Edit: According to Ali Gold, the plan is to loan him out next season, though he will get the chance to impress in pre-season.

I agree, but assuming he goes back out on loan, do we think one of Scarlett or Etete sticks around for 1st part of the season at least? Scarlett probably needs game time now and Etete did well enough last season that he would probably want some game time too.

Kane, Son, Kulu, Lucas, Richarlison (?), Scarlett/Etete
If there is nothing to be gained from him going on loan to the Championship then yes, he or Etete should be given a chance to train with the first team and get some senior football.

Scarlett could do with getting a full season on loan somewhere imo.

More training vids today. I should have learnt from Dele but I’m convinced he’ll do bits for us in pre season ?

Well, seems he's the fittest player at Spurs. While everyone collapsed from the exhausting beep test, Troy showed no signs of fatigue.

he is absolutely cruising there, he must have worked his arse off in the close season. This is exactly the attitude that conte will take notice of. I expect to see him get a good few minutes under his belt over the next few games. Cracking attitude to have, seems to really have knuckled down and screwed the nut. Well done Troy ?

There was a snippet about Southampton being interested in a loan today. That would be excellent for him as they can be excellent at times, genuinely need cover at CF but also need cover for the incredibly inconsistent Redmond at LF.

If he gets the chance of some minutes this week and pops up with a goal, then you just never know. He's always had the talent. Just making the step up is so hard.

Wasn't that Sunderland?

I think there is a decent chance he starts one of the games.

I figure most players are going to be limited to 45 minutes, so I was thinking of two front lines of:

Son - Parrott - Kulusevski

Richarlison - Kane - Lucas. (I just think Lucas and Richarlison will play together initially to bring the Brazilian up to speed)

Of course they both still go out on loan but kind of an interesting mini battle between Gil/Parrott for that 6th spot as right now our attackers seem to be Son, Kane, Kulu, Richarlison, Lucas Moura - Parrott can play at ST and LF and Gil can be seen as LF/RF. Both seem very fit in the early parts of this pre-season as well! Both great prospects too

Didn't he play on the wing some during his loan, maybe at Millwall? Always good to be versatile if you're trying to scrape a spot in the squad. Still think a Championship loan would be best considering he's still only 20. Feels like he's older because he's been in and around the squad for so long, but still really young. He's still got another season before the year that even Kane broke through into our first team.

He's absolutely destroying those fitness tests, well ahead of everyone in that video above. I think he used to train with Dele in the offseasons, and Dele for all his other faults was always noted as a fitness test monster during his time here. Killing them at Everton again this year I saw in reports.

Conte will have loved that he, Sarr and Gil were the ones left on their feet. Good luck to them all. If they put the work work in I hope they are given a chance
