We're playing worse than we did at the end of last season. On paper we have a better squad but, Perisic aside, arguably not a better first 11.

The squad will integrate and the depth will.be invaluable.

But I honestly thought after a full Conte preseason we'd be playing with better patterns and purpose.

The second half today was as bad as under Mourinho or Nuno.

I'm sure we'll improve and it's early days. And Conte surely will find solutions. But worrying nonetheless.

Potter has got Brighton playing just as well as last season despite losing two or three of their best players, and they're a delight to watch.
