You know we are going to win the final at Wembley...don't you?

After the mandatory negative BS thread i have just seen, just trying to counter it. with a positive version of said BS. (positive BS if you like)

Have a very good feeling about this match, and i can see it in the eyes of the Chavski fans i've spoken to... They're scared (still giving it all the BS but you can see the fear)

you know it makes sense

a lot of their players have been out for some time, and i can see Avram Grant (wasn't he in cannonball run as the drunk doctor ) making some sentimental picks of players that aren't actually on form or fully fit.

we are playing some very fast counter attacking football at the moment, and with Carvalho always over commiting to leave an unfit Terry (sentimental pick) to cope with our pace on the break i can see some joy there, Chimbonda against SWP will be interesting. but we know that Malbranque will offer great cover now. and on the other side Lennon and Hutton will have the pace & power to deal with J & A the cole twins.

Lets just hope they cut the grass at wembley a bit shorter for a faster surface than there was for the england game recently.

2-1 to the Spurs (last minute consolation for Chavski)

Terry and lampard and who ever else hasnt been fit will have a hard game midweek as well, and i hope they put them out, they dont have to get much of a knock, just keep them abit more tired for sunday!

Hutton coming back in and king will improve the defence a hell of alot, and who ever is in goals need to not do any stupid miskates like they have been doing

Berabtov has to be up for the game if we are going to win, if he isnt i cant see us carrying him though 80 odd mins for him to produce something for 10 mins, and JJ has to be ready to work his ass off, as well as hudd!

i can see us winning it 1-0, 78th min winner by Hudd  or a terry or lampard OG would be amusing as well

We're going to kick ass. Chelsea won't know what hit them, they even struggled last season against the Arsenal "kids"

I think we'll win it, two finals against Chelscum and two wins, showing them who's boss.

good post - we will give it a right good go - we just need a lot of luck -

we also need the Spurs fans to get right behind the team and sing sing sing - even tho it's likely we'll lose I'd sing loud and long for the lads - while the game is on forget the form book and believe - the watching football nation will be impressed whatever the score

I agree with most of what you said as I too have a good feeling. My only negative comment (If I am allowed to have one ) is that I have my concerns about Huddlestone in a mid field against Chelsea, I think the chelsea midfielders will take him to the cleaners. I am not questioning his shooting or passing ability, but in the last match, especially in the last half an hour, the Prague started their attacks through the midfielder that Hud should have been marking but he, Hudd, was too slow to turn or run .

Saying that who do we play instead, Taino? O'hara? Kaboul? Zokora?

At the end of the day I suppose I have to trust Ramos. COYS!

I'd play Tainio with Jenas and get him to man-mark Lumpard (or Ballack) like he took out Fabregas in the Arse game.

Good counter thread, the Chavs will play an away leg in Greece which is always a difficult place to go, we however have rested up this weekend, will play our european game at Home and be raring to go get us some silverware next sunday so...

The difference with Lumpard (nice) and Ballack is they don't possess the intuitive movement or mobility of Fibreglass, and therefore i think JJ alone could do enough running to keep both of them in check

What he said. Tainio and Jenas in the middle for me.

We'll win 1-0. Berbatov will score the winner from the penalty spot around the 65th minute mark.

TT needs to play if he is fit. I'd put him in over Hudd. If things dont go to plan Hudd is a great player to bring off the bench. Hudd has been in good form though, so if he go the nod I wouldn't be bothered.

Having King at the back with Woodie could be where we win or lose it

I think O'Hara should start... Whenever he's played lately he's often been the extra thing the midfield was lacking creatively... Tainio might be a sensible option to negate the influence of one of their midfielders, but I'd like to see us go for it with Jenas and O'Hara in the middle...

Don't you think it's great we're now arguing who should start CM for us? Good arguments for Jenas, Tainio, Hudd and O'Hara. It was only a few months are we were praying we'd have an entire clear out of CM and bring in every man and his dog.

Bloody well played to the 4 names above, all of whom have really stepped it up recently

I'm positive, so much so it will really break my heart if i'm wrong. Just have one concern about Ledley having not played since the semi, and never alongside Woodgate. But going forward is where we're strong and if we have enough of the ball to force a high tempo I think we'll do them.

Tottenham Hotspur 2 - 1 Chelsea
Berbatov 24 Some jammy fat bastard 71
Jenas 41

The way King always plays when returning to the side and the fact that Woody slotted in v Everton and ManUre like he'd always been there and performed brilliantly means that I'm not worried at all about King and Woody never having played together.
