My enthusiasm and naivety for potential transfers peaked in the year of the sock.

How does this not count as worthy of this thread? I was told, when questioning the move back to this type of ITK thread system, that one benefit of this thread was that people could discuss more tenuous ITK comments which don't make it into the RO section. The removal of this post, and the conversation that related to it, flies in the face of that big time.

If we just went back to the previous way of posting in the respective ITK threads, then you wouldn't have to waste time removing so many posts regarding irrelevant subjects

Especially when you consider some of the bollocks one has to trawl through each day to find a piece of ITK not even half as interesting as that, like 'Spurs are definitely interested in Bellamy' yes we already fucking no, Harry has said so, a lot! None of us knew anything of any potential enquiry about Diego though, Thowig gave us something tenuous but in good faith, something actually a bit interesting and discussion worthy, and it's been moved. This thread has no point!

If Thowig wished to post some ITK then he can go about it the same way as everyone else has on SC. PM a Mod or RR his source and start a new thread on it and it will be accepted. Other wise it will be treated the same way as other posters who say they know whats going on.
You have even asked for us to be heavy handed with this thread.
When there is ITK this thread is handy. When its quiet like today this thread isn't needed as much.

First it was Vieira and luckily we dodged that one. Please don't get Gallas. After Archibald mentioned him and now this new ITK, i'm a bit worried.
If it happens it happens. I'll just have to learn to live with it.
Crouch staying is fine as long as we still get a new centre forward. Although i'm not sure who i'd want to make way if it isn't Crouch.

The problem is though, just because Thowig hasn't given you his source doesn't mean it's not true and I for one would still like to read such info. Some people won't want to give the name of their source to Mods as quite frankly we don't know who you are. You could be anyone.

no, it doesn't at all, it just means things have moved on.
Brownhead's ITK was a day or two ago, so may have been true at that time, particularly as PC might have been under pressure from his missus to go to Liverpool.
One of the first rules of ITK is that things change quickly.

I know everyone else loves Crouch to death and all but I wouldn't have minded if we actually upgraded him with someone better, now saying that I don't really see too many options so I am happy to have Crouch if we can't upgrade him but he isn't the best striker in the league or anything just nice and solid, especially away from home, something Defoe could learn from and up his game to make him a much more complete forward than he is now.
Now if Crouch and Defoe are surely staying that leaves Pav or Keane to go if we are to make a change up front, which the more I think about it is looking less and less likely we are going to make a change up front but who out of those two would most people like to see shipped out?
