Er....

Never doubted the ITK? Just making a statement...

Plus for what it worth i couldn't care less about Turan. But hey lets make it another day dicussing him!

I was agreeing with you. I believe everyone has a price, too. I was just trying to get the point across that this "Krulac" is more than an ITK. Wasn't really aiming the comment at you.

Actually, everyone has a price but Scott Parker. He's clearly not for sale...

Unless Lerner has a death wish he will not be selling Milner and Young to two direct rivals in the same summer.

There wasn't with Keane either.

There was quite a bit of ITK that Ramos didn't rate him (along with just about everyone else), and he certainly didn't look very happy when he was being subbed virtually every game.

If, as it would seem, that Villa don't want Ireland as part of the swap deal, I think we should have a go at persuading City to sell him to us.
IMO, definately an upgrade on JJ.

I think it was actually Ramos that instigated Keane's flappy arm syndrome.

Disappointing that my revelation on who the Plymouth player was hasn't made the round up.

Especially in view of my 100% record on the comings and goings of the league 1 giants.

I don't think so and reports this morning said certain Villa players were texting each other pictures of champagne bottles when they heard MON had quit! Maybe the choice of new manager will be key in whether AY stays or goes.

There are plenty of senior fringe players at Villa that I would imagine are delighted that MON has gone (Reo-Coker etc).

But that doesn't mean the whole squad is happy about it - one of the strengths of MON as a manager was to get the best out of his players through motivation, which is difficult to do if they hate your guts!

But that said, I do agree that the choice of new manager is crucial.

Have you watched the kid play? Is he any good?

Is it true that his footballing hero is Kyle Naughton?

If we're using ITK as proof, then there has been ITK suggesting that Young wants to come to us.

Pat Murphy on 5 Live last night said that the issue that tipped MON to walk was the proposed sale of Friedel to Fulham. No mention of Young at all.

I'm still wondering when we will start to trim the squad!

O'hara, JJ, Bentley ect. I can't see having much playing time this season

POTL has said that contracts havent been agreed with Young yet as he wants more than we are offering. Surely if we are at the stage of discussing contracts then that means that a fee has been agreed?

I can certainly see JJ and Bentley both having squad numbers if they're still here. Unsure about O'Hara.

I honestly couldn't see Villa getting Keane, Bentley and Jenas from us, mind. It just doesn't work like that. It's going to be a long 3 weeks...

From what he said, I'd think that a deal was perhaps reached with Villa with perhaps a player exchange in place. Now O'Neill has walked, it's thrown everything, so that entire deal is up in the air now. All conjecture, of course.

I really dont want Young to be honest. Far to much money being talked about. Would much rather see that amount being invested else where. We have eough wide players at the minute. And Young as hardly been mr consistent over the last few seasons.

Time will tell but it may just be the case that MON's departure was due to a reluctance of Lerner to allow him to invest the proceeds of the Milner sale in new players, as has been reported in some papers, rather than an intention to sell AY. Whilst there is little doubt that he is a good player I would not be too disappointed if a deal with us failed to materialise as we are well covered in this position already. An additional goalkeeper and CB would be good but otherwise I feel that we are in pretty good shape. Still three weeks to go and I am sure that HR & DL have the situation under control. Screams for a "stellar" No. 9 are, I feel, unrealistic as our sensible wages policy and recent arrival on the CL scene preclude a really major signing that is a significant and proven improvement on the forwards we already have at our disposal.

Indeed. Krulak is a non-executive director at Villa, so arguably a better source of information than any individual "ITK".

Anyway, tomorrow it will be Turan again, no doubt.

:bang:

He certainly is in ITK. I spoke to him a couple of times in order to sort out a signed Villa shirt for my mate. He is a bit of a legend at VP and as trusted as they come. He regularly posts on the Villa forum too which is something none of our directors would do.
