most of those players played less than crouch. min/goal or min/(goal or assist) would be helpful though.

and gabby wasn't used as a striker. mostly out wide.

The point is he isn't the worst striker in the League, far from it.

I know statistics arent everything, but its still alarming that all of our strikers are competing goals wise with the players you mentioned and lose to most of them in that statistic.

Crouch is a horrid goalscorer outside Europe we all know that, and this has been a poor goal-scoring season for Crouch, we all also know that. but he offers so much more then that. To call him one of the worst 5 strikers in the PL is just ridiculous. Particularly 'cos he would walk into the starting line-up of most PL teams.

I'm sorry for angering the Pav. block who seem to think that anybody which disagree's with the opinion that Pav is better then Crouch should be induced with the wrath of this site. Calm down people I believe we should keep Pav and sell Crouch. I also believe that Crouch is a better player then Pav. So what!

personally i would keep him and sell other two and bring in 2 new strikers. crouch is a great team player and for that reason alone i would keep him. i hate seen a greedy extremely selfish striker and defoe is all about me me me.

but without his goals we would have been 12th!

and without croucies assists he would have scored a lot less - but do i think crouch should be there no - ryan i believe that vdv has played a part in the fact we went seasons when the strikers scored all the goals and midfielders got not a lot to one year later when none of them can score

when you watch vdv as i know you do from your posts you cant say he sets up a lot or helps his fellow striker/s much

he runs around loads - cares - but in the end completely upsets the balance of the team -

i think he is a great player but just not in our team - and if you look at one of the earlier posts you can see players with far less ability have scored more goals in far inferior sides

and it was all because of VDV?

no - i am simply saying that i think one of the major reasons our forwards have not scored this year is because of the way the team is set up to accomodate VDV

ok - you probably dont agree so why is it the forwards scored lots of goals prior to vdv? its just coincidence they have all become rubbish at the same time??

Anyone who wouldn't mind VDV gone obviously isn't very clever, 4-4-2 isn't the solution it's the problem. Loads of clubs in the world have stopped using it because it doesn't offer enough defensive balance to a team.

He is a world class player. Having world class players should NOT be a problem. It's up to Harry to fit him into a cohesive unit.
