I've realised that Pistachio thinks it's easier and safer to correctly call who we are not going to buy than who we are.
i rate peanut very very highly. i think he knows most of what is going on. unlike some, he does not come and post everything he knows. he seems very careful about what he shares. there isn't much risk in letting us know that something isn't happening, so he does that more than anything. i really don't think he gaf if he gets plaudits. he doesn't have an itk ego as far as i can tell.

I'm pretty sure after Morientes fucked his parent club Madrid while on loan at Monaco in the CL semi a few years back it became universal loaned players couldn't play against their parent clubs when previously a clause had to be inserted.

I'm sure I have seen matches where players have played against parent club last season.
The question is that there are two types of loan - short-term ones, and long-term ones, invovling substantial fee. Are they treated differently? Obviously, if the club has a right of recall it is going to be a different situation to if they don't.

I don't know about that sorry, but I don't think there's a difference based on the length of loan. The O'Hara loan to Pompey was a season long loan was it not and he didn't play the FA cup semi. Oh and btw if I've missed the point again it's because I'm quite tired atm.
Is he saying don't expect Llorente to be signed until the final week?

No...O'Hara was on a loan until Christmas...adn then returned to the Lane for a month, and then was loaned out again, as a different short-term loan, to the same club - that is different to a season-long loan, even though, technically, he was loaned to them for most of the season.
he didn't play in the cup semi - if I remember correctly - because he was injured.

Just back from the game..

My God do we need a striker.

Pav was awful first half, so bad. Cant believe some idiots chant his name.

Crouch was just about ok. But knowhere near where we want to be.

JD tried.

Levy buy us a fucking striker or 2.

That is all.

Maybe they were chanting his name to...<INSERT DRUM ROLL>...give him encouragement...

He said deal not done. I think he meant the fee, wages and terms all agreed. Paperwork, medical and ink still required.

can you copy into here exactly what he said, as its gone down in the read only section that he has said "done deal"

Samba, Diarra and Llorente would be an alright window. Would improve us throughout the spine, as a squad (in the case of Samba, I shouldn't imagine he'd get much game time to begin with at least).

Gomes

Walker Gallas King/Dawson BAE

Diarra Sandro

VDV Modric Bale

Llorente.

I'd have some of that.

We'd be solid defensively (except maybe Walker to begin with), exciting going forward, plenty of pace. Lennon as an impact sub to stretch teams in the second half.

Yes please.

Agreed still like a pacy and quality player to provide competition/cover on both wings and VDV and we'd be set, well possibly a goalie, still not 100% convinced on ours

Where the fuck have you been stranger?

Er, I mean, would you like to discuss some ITK some more?

Fishing, walking, bit of shooting, bit of visiting medieval churches, quite a lot of writing.

Transfer rumours just the same as ever, it seems.

I'd be happy with that. Obviously a striker is the priority anything else is a bonus

100% Agree, the nature of Bale + Lennon's game means it wont be *if* they get injured but more *when*... at the moment there isn't really anyone who can offer what they do in a like for like sense. :hump:

with the signing of fabregas barca will be over loaded with players and even without that they will have pedro , sanchez ahead of him cos they arent going to drop villa and messi too much!!

afellay will be sold and ims ure its only barca trying to drum up price on him.. if the lad doesnt leave after signing fabregas then he is not the type of player i wud want anyway been honest. with the calibre of player they have at that club its no shame to move on and try luck elsewhere.

Where's Ben's comments on Modders?

Who:Ben
Where:FTL
When 6th August

Ben saying Luka felt humbled after his reception today...Niko apparently said to Modric how could he leave Spurs after that...Modric replied 'I can't'
