BEN via COYS....

We are not a million miles off if we want to do deal like samba lorente is ultra keen to come.

My guess this window from what told now is samba prob diarra

Lorente prob last week window

Arry 1st choice is Rossi but villereal wont budge

Then adebayor. but can't agree wages with city

So very likely we bag lorente who wants to come and wages in our structure

If we've signed Diarra and waiting on confirmation could it be we are tying up this other loan deal from Madrid before announcing both together?

The ultimate optimist as always

I would personally doubt it, POTL stating it's done doesn't necessarily mean it's 100% done, as in all the paper work done or whatever else may need doing but maybe just, practically done, I guess.

Sounds good on the Llorente front then! I'd probably prefer him over Ade anyway.. would be even better with Rossi + Llorente, but it looks like we're only going for one of those three..

It is.
But what I am asking is if the loan is a large fee paying season long one, is it treated differently than a shorter term loan, with little or no money changing hands.
I don't know what the financial deal was with O'Hara, but he wasn't loaned out for a year.He was loaned out short-term, returned at Christmas, and then loaned out again for the rest of the season. That isn't a season-long loan deal.

I don't know about that sorry, but I don't think there's a difference based on the length of loan. The O'Hara loan to Pompey was a season long loan was it not and he didn't play the FA cup semi. Oh and btw if I've missed the point again it's because I'm quite tired atm.

Is he saying don't expect Llorente to be signed until the final week?

I'm assuming we only have the money for one of the bigger name strikers so I'd prefer Adebayor loan and Rossi rather than just Llorente.

The last bit fills me with dread, don't fuck about chasing people who aren't that keen or want too much money, get the deal done before it all backfires on us

Nice! Still it goes directly against what Peanut's saying, and the deal for Lorente is still way off even if it is happening

Do it Levy, you know it makes sense

Samba, Diarra and Llorente would be an alright window. Would improve us throughout the spine, as a squad (in the case of Samba, I shouldn't imagine he'd get much game time to begin with at least).

Gomes

Walker Gallas King/Dawson BAE

Diarra Sandro

VDV Modric Bale

Llorente.

I'd have some of that.

We'd be solid defensively (except maybe Walker to begin with), exciting going forward, plenty of pace. Lennon as an impact sub to stretch teams in the second half.

Yes please.

I've realised that Pistachio thinks it's easier and safer to correctly call who we are not going to buy than who we are.

He said deal not done. I think he meant the fee, wages and terms all agreed. Paperwork, medical and ink still required.
