I assumed thats what POTL meant anyway, another words still medical and contract to sign etc....probably be official on Monday.

That's how I read it too. Simply that we've agreed a fee with Real and perhaps personal terms with Diarra.

Both pieces of Ben's itk very positive imo. Luka shouldn't take for granted what he has here, a set of fans who adore him, as proven today.

Could it be a coincidence that Rossi stayed in England and was at Anfield tonight for the Liverpool Valencia match tonight and Levy was also missing from WHL tonight? Maybe we are trying to push through the deal this weekend and if not we go for Llorente come monday?

Sorry mate. Rossi stayed in England as Villarreal play Wigan next.

Um, if Ben's latest info is true then what the hell are we farting around about. Get Llorente done and dusted if he actually wants to come!!!

This. I was actually quite moved by the reception he got. Don't know why I was surprised though. We obviously have the greatest fans in the world.

On Luka, seemed much more positive today. Actually went back to his usual clinched fists celebration whenever we scored as opposed to no reaction in south africa. Quality player, hope he's back onside.

I'm not his biggest fan but he is a useful squad player to have in my opinion and I'd imagine worth more to us than we would get from a buying club for him.

I'm in two minds about this yeah good squad player but perhaps we'd be better served by giving game time to Livermore/Parrett/Bostock/Carroll

His pass to lennon split Bilbao apart and he was for me one of our best players in what was a very poor first half display.

He wasn't great, but looking lively and showed a good passing range. he is versatile, has great energy, a decent shot and can even play a more defensive role if needed (was excellent away to stoke last year)

shouldnt a player who plays is his position, if playing well, dictate how we play and as result of him playing well in such a role often lead to us winning or been in a winning position!??

I thought so. his awareness and positioning is absolutely shocking for a cm player. every time he plays we get the odd poster or fan of his saying i though he did ok and i thought this and that.thats ur opinion , fair enough but its totally wrong. bottom line is here we were losing with him on the field and while its 11 men on the field , a player in his position has to take on board alot of responsibility. he simply has to influence the game in some way and he is incapable of doing that. the difference of the two halves says it all. chalk and cheese.

I have no doubt now that diarra is signed its only matter of time before he is sold and i dont expect to see him play much at all in league games once everyone totally fit .

If we sold Keane Bassong Palacios and signed Adebayor Samba and Diarra that would be good business
