Another day passes and nothing. More tantalising promises and we remain hopeful. There will be carnage on SC if we don't do the do.

Yesterday a hippy with a clipboard stopped me on my way into our local KFC and asked me to sign his petition. "What's it for?", I asked. "It's for animal rights," he said, "animals have no voice of their own, so people need to speak out for their rights." So I wrote, "Animals: you have the right to remain delicious."

Couldn't find out who we have lined up? We get plenty of ITK telling us who we haven't got lined up though :shrug:

TBH i'm pretty nuetral on this one.

There was a snippet from CorlukaModric but it was full of 'Like I saids' and as he's already said it, it doesn't need repeating here.

Moving swiftly on, SC attended a press conference at WHL yesterday and here's a summary of what was said..........

Reporter: Harry, can you give us an idea of who you're looking to sign in the next few weeks?

A&C: *Groan

A&C: Well you fucking have been with all your poncing around in the transfer market........Why haven't we signed anyone yet? Been too busy making TV adverts?

*Harry gets up from desk twitching and is held back by the Press Officer and calm is restored.

Reporter: Harry, this Bloonyelluh, which club does he play for? Is he African?

HR: I just fackin told you (At this point Harry's face is really red and his twitch has visibly increased) Bloonyelluh........Bloo and facking Yelluh

Reporter: Eh?

A&C: (To reporter) He's saying Blue and Yellow

Reporter: Oh. What does that mean?

A&C: Fucked if I know. Or anyone else for that matter. I'd give up if I were you.........

Reporter: Harry, there are rumours Spurs are interested in mata. WHat can you tell us?

HR: GFTS

Reporter: Come again?

A&C: It stands for Goals From The Side. It started off as a cryptic for Mata but now could mean anybody.

Reporter: What is it with all this stuff? can't anyone be straight anymore?

HR: You want answers?

Cheers A & C, great read as usual. If we are selling to teams in European competition, then sales will have to be completed and registered by tonight for tomorrow's deadline. I expect outgoings today.

As for us and European registrations, well, I don't think they care as they will be playing a youth team anyway.

That is my current reaction to this transfer window.

Nothing doing today methinks.

Hope is our enemy people. For the sake of our collective sanities, let's accept we'll be watching Crouch & Defoe again this season, I'm too tired to fight it anymore. I've been worn down and I admit defeat, I can't stand this rollercoaster of false hope constantly being dashed.

There is another registration period before the groups if I remember correctly. So the only issue would be if we played our players in the game against Hearts and they became cuptied.

Just read on Marca in Spain that Real Madrid have rejected our bid for Lass and they are holding out for 18m euros. :bang:

I still think we'll have another new player in before our first game.

No idea when our first game will be though.

Well he isn't worth 18m euros. I'd happily keep Palacios if that is the figure they are asking for.

I think if he was a WUM he would have been exposed long ago, but people do probably get carried away with how much they value what he says.

He probably has access to some information and repeats it as and when but like anyone who is not directly involved at the club he is down the chain of information and likely to hear false reports or be fed false information from time to time.

I don't personally think he is as close to the club as many like to think he is and I believe is information like any other ITK's information should be treated much like a story in the paper (an interesting read but don't go betting your house on the results based on what he says)

The other day POTL announces Lass deal done and everyone automatically takes it as gospel and starts looking at the next signing (probably calling for a Stoof stamp) despite nothing offical coming out of Real or ourselves :roll:

Ok he may not be as unreliable as other ITK's but he isn't Mr Levy either and his statements are not offical club statements, also claiming a DEAL DONE when clearly it has not been done is pretty much Adeipf territory, so if as seems likely now it proves the deal was not DONE when he announced it as such maybe people will learn to treat POTL like any other ITK with a pinch of salt rather than gospel and not get so carried away every time he speaks. I don't listen to any of them, find its better that way else you just end up disappointed. I always have to see it on the os before I can relax and know 100% the deal has been completed.
