Hutton has been going for about 8 weeks...

Another thing, if Diarra looks doubtful because of PSG why would we sell Wilson now with Sandro out....doesn't make sense, unless we have another defensive type midfielder lined up.

20 million would be unreal for Palacios & Crouch! use those funds to get Diaara, then offload
Keane, Hutton, Gio & Bentley and use the funds towards a deadline day swoop for Rossi! Happy Days!

My only reservation regarding hunterlaar would be the fact Harry vetoed the option in favor of crouch. Harry can't be totally sold on his form since surely?

So you're saying Redknapp had a choice of Crouch and Huntelaar and chose Crouch ?

Keane has gained a yard if pace tonight. Skipping past players and whatnot. Very odd.

Pav was also excellent against Serbia.

International football is about the slowest brand of football.

Would people take Rossi, Diarra and Benayoun in, Modric out?

I think I would (but prefer Sturridge to Benayoun).

Benayoun is a much better footballer than Sturridge (who is ok). If this was two years ago I'd seriously consider 35m + Benayoun.

Benayoun played on the right would create and score more than Lennon. He'd create and score more than Modric and would mean we'd go back to playing two CM's in central midfield. And if one of those was Diarra and we spent the 35m wisely, would make a lot of sense.

My concern is that it's not two years ago, Benayoun is now 31 and has just had a bad achilles injury.

As far as Huntelaar goes, I think he's tailor made for this league and given the right service would score plenty of goals. In other leagues that are more technical (or technique biased) he hasn't always been seen to best effect (but has still managed to score goals and hasn't always been had the rub at places like Milan and Madrid), but compared to many he'd be up against in the EPL, technically he compares much more favourably.

People saying he wouldn't be an upgrade on Pav are buffoons . He'd only have to not trip over the ball every 3 minutes to manage that. BUt he is much more assured in everything he does than Pav. He doesn't shit himself like Pav does every time a defender looks at him, and he can finish with both feet and head and is no slower than Pav either.

Someone needs to explain to Levy the word depreciation. Daily fail are reporting he wants 25m for the pair. MORE then they were bought for

Evening Standard saying they have offered £16m but we're holding out for £20m so they all seem to be guessing what the "final bid" actually is - I'd imagine its more likley £16m.

'The Stoke chairman, Peter Coates, said he was awaiting a response from Spurs over what amounts to a £20m offer for both players. "We've made our last bid," said Coates.'

Lets hope they can negotiate towards that figure

20 million is a fantastic offer for Palacios and Crouch. It sounds a bit too good to be true and if Levy is wanting 25 million I can wee why Stoke will be backing off....but why are we pricing these players out of move when we need to shift them...and in and around 20 million is generous - nevermind reasonable.

If Stoke have offered around £16m for Crouch and Pal we will have £21m from sales this summer. Surely Levy can part with £10m for Rossi or Llorente can't he if we assume their clubs would accept bids of £31m or have I missed something here?

A £5.5m loss? Fantastic deal!

A £2.25m loss per player for 2 players whose values have gone down, and a deal where accepting now will allow us to bring players in. Doesn't sound too bad
