If Levy is saving money for a new manager then why hasn't he sacked Redknapp? Our season could be wrecked because of Levy's lack of investment.
Maybe he would like to and if so I could not blame him in view of HR's performance, both with the team and the media this year. However an expensive contract termination and any bad feeling from HR fans would be avoided if HMRC did the job for him by sending HR off to spend some time in the big house. It may well be the case that we will see mostly loans and little in the way of big spending after all this window as DL may take the view that there is no point in forking out for a stellar signing when a new manager may be arriving in the not too distant future. A further consideration is that fees and wages may be a lot less next year because of the new rulings and better deals may be available at that time. Accordingly perhaps he may have decided that this year is one in which caution should rule even if it is at the expense of a possible CL place. Obviously this would not be popular with the fans but it may have commercial merit in the longer term. Equally, since this is just a thought, it could be a complete load of bollocks.
