Part of me thinks Cahill and Dawson are too similar.

English so we can afford to get rid of another English player like Crouch, Jenas, Bentley etc.

He is a leader which we lack and always gives his best.

Better than most of what we have as a centre midfield player.

It would certainly be massive reality check if the best we can get in is Parker & Gary frigging Cahill. Solid signings, but they will not push us on or improve the quality of the squad that significantly

TBH after hearing jj yesterday i don't want to get my hopes up, but anything plus cahill and parker is a plus imo

If I was levy I would do a deal like liverpool, where they said carroll price plus £15 million, I would say gotze price plus drogba

Anyway as I see these positions we are buying now, are the positions we were suppose to fill prior to the season starting, as there were players close to signing a month back according to ITK's

However this didn't happen due to some hitch or other reason

The last weeks imo were there, for us to find a extra striker and winger if possible

Now due to deals for DM/CM + CB falling through, the extra striker and winger are faint hopes as we need those positions filling more than the other two

Bellamy assaulted two women in 2004, confronted his team mate John Arne Riise with a golf club and was arrested earlier this year for assault (again).

Barton has been involved in so much shit that I can't be bothered listing it all.

Has Parker done anything criminal or 'prickish' as you would put it? No. So is he a prick like the other two? No.

...but Wiki tells me he's scored 8 in 58 for Fiorentina. He's surely not the answer with scoring stats like that. Pay twice as much and get twice the goals - Leandro is the answer.

He has been offered to all the clubs over the last 2 months.

There is a price tag and its hefty because Villa have 30% of his sell on fee. This time last year we baulked at half of what his currently being offered at and went for Gallas.
I think thats a thumbs up for Daniel though in reality he didnt really want Gallas either!!

Yes we amongst others are looking at him and he would like to come to us. Its all about doing the right deal for all concerned whether its us or any club!

Marin doesnt want to leave Germany at all and is very similar to how Luka used to be a few years ago when he wasnt interested in the money.
