I don't think Gio has done anything to suggest he'll be picked. If we go for that formation (which I like) I'd put Kranjcar in instead of Gio.

Got to be Krancjar playing off Adebayor for me, he's ideally suited to the position IMO and will hopefully score one or two. Would rather have Gomes in goal, but it's clearly going to be Friedel, so:

Alrite guys well disapointed not to get in cahill or another striker but as harry has said that he sees bale as a future left back not a winger i can see him playing this formation as this gives him a chance to tinker as VDV is out.

He's not played as much on the right as many times as Krancjar has (poorly) and he's not been deployed as a right-sided forward for Spurs.
And Gio did very well against Leyton Orient in pre-season a couple of seasons ago... :snooty:
