Rose wasn't great, he squandered a few opportunities but Bale was still worse.

He is at his best when he plays on the wing yet it takes him almost eighty minutes before he runs at the defender, not good enough.

Friedel - 6 - nothing to do

Walker - 8 - great goal, did well always an outlet

Kaboul - 6.5 solid

Gallas - 6.5 solid

Rose - 6 good at times, not so good at others

Lennon - 6.5 hot and cold but always a threat

Sandro - 8 great game
Modric - 7.5 first half was brilliant, dipped a bit in the second

Bale - 6.5 decent if not spectacular, a great ball late in the second half, and a great header cleared of the line, crossing was wasteful however

Van Der Vaart - 7 got a goal, moved the ball around well

Adebayor - 6.5 did well for our goal, moved around well

SUBS:

Dos Santos - 6.5 did well tracking back, looked eager

Livermore - 6.5 looked composed

Defoe - 6 lively but wasteful

Friedel 6 nothing to do
Walket 8 extra 1 point for that goal
Kaboul 8 made such a difference
Gallas 7 solid
Rose 5.5 I worry about him in the next 2 matches

Lennon 6 dangerous but too many wrong choices
Sandro 9 absolutely outstanding
Modric 7.5 best game for a long time
Bale 5 .5 poor

VDV 7 giving it everything as usual

Adebayor 7 held the ball up well

Subs no real impact but I wish GDS would have been given a few starts in Lennon's position especially when he was injured. He looks class and has never started for us with a strong line up. I just feel he is 1 of those players who could make things happen. Lennon's final ball is still an issue and giving GDS 10 mins here and there was never going to work.

Why must he run at a defender when we were in such a strong position? You could loose it, an cause them to have a counter attack. In these situations play for possession and build your chances rather then create them from nothing. The sensible and correct option is to play the easy ball. Bale did this. He didn't have a great game but still helped us develop chances. If gio played instead of him we would of been worse because of it.

I'm all for keeping possession and being patient but they are also times to attack your man and he seems to blatantly ignore the left wing. Its still the strongest part of his game, don't go away from it completely.

It's definitely an issue. I was very frustrated with what we were doing on our left side. I know it's not a new phenomenon but why we have to watch Bale hovering on the edge of the D waiting for something to happen when HE should be the one making something happen is very aggravating.

Have to agree and been saying this for weeks, our forwards are clueless in the final third. Bale was very poor but Rose was aweful on the left. Danny looked like he didn't want the ball, at all, happy to tackle etc but going forward, shite!

Just what we needed...an opposition who lay down without a fight . So now we may have a bit more confidence .

No real sign tho , in a match with 71% possession of a serious cutting edge . Scoring is a major problem for us , The commentator said Bale has not scored for ten matches...we need him to play well desperately now. Any team putting up a proper defence will cause us problems in this run in . Very worrying .

Positives were Sandro 8 , seeing Kaboom back 7 , Lennon quite bright 6.5 Mods busier 6 . Cracking goal for Walker the highlight 6
Blackburn 2 , absolutely terrible (just what we needed)

Danny Rose - 77 passes with 90% succession (from Windy on Twitter) - sounds like he was petrified of the ball. He wasn't great though, I agree.

Actually thought our full backs were quite wasteful for most of the game. Kyle was redeemed by his free kick, Rose was average at best.

Sandro was immense.

Hard to judge the rest as Blackburn were so absolutely pathetic. Actually felt sorry for their visiting fans.

How many times did Rose lose possession, put in poor crosses and misplaced passes.

Bale was far off of his best today, but I thought Rose was absymal - if it hadnt been for the fact Blackburn are absolute dogshit, we would have had problems down the right side.

It'll be interesting to see how Rose fairs away to Bolton next week, I can see Eagles giving him the run around.
Rose wasn't crap defensively he just made some iffy decisions going forward , I doubt eagles will do much against him.
