For Sure?
*Gets ready to party*
For Sure?
For Sure?
Thanks for clarifying buddy.Yep. Just posted RO and emailed Arch as had a number of calls and texts - even one of them is a footballer!
If the new manager fails I expect every single one of you who have bashed Redknapp over the past few months to retract statements. Going to be incredibly irritating if we don't hit the ground running (which we won't) for you all to turn round and say 'WAHH WE HAD IT BETTER BEFORE.' No doubt that won't stop some of you though.
This is a bad decision. Really upset if it's true.
Moyes would seem like a sideways step (at best) to me and I am not sure its what I really want to happen.
If Harry goes then I see Moyes as a decent enough replacement and I don't doubt he has the ability to keep us floating around the CL positions and challenging for CL qualification.
The grass is not always greener though and I think there is much to be said for stability and continuity, so with that in mind I'd probably rather keep Harry in charge then swap him for someone like Moyes (who let's face it has always been a midtable to upper midtable manager by in large he is steady not spectacular)
I'd worry about the reaction of the players, I think want away players could use the managerial change as an excuse to rock the boat further and those who were previously settle could be unsettled by any sacking of Harry out of respect/loyalty to him (VDV perhaps)
All that being said however, if Harry's relationship with Levy and the powers that be is too strained and he is not going to have his contract extended it could well be the best for everyone to part company because we already saw the impact uncertainty can have on a squad.
Moyes wouldn't be my first choice, but I think anyone we can realistically attract is going to be a gamble and I will hold my hands up to thinking Harry was a waste of time small time appointment and Ramos would be the man to lead us to the promise land and I was firmly proved wrong on both counts so if Harry goes I will be open minded and back whoever the next appointment should be.
arry fucked off when we was sitting pretty in third to suck the balls of the FA, who then treated him like a cheap slapper and didn't pay up. He completely disrespected the club for months, it is not just about a better manager, it is about a manger who has respect for this club, sticks to the job he is paid for, there are so many issues with him far to many to list and nothing that I or anyone has said a 1000 times before
He has done a good job at the club, shame he just had no class about him when the England job came along. He only has himself to blame, he fucked us to suck sweaty FA donkey balls. Now he has nothing (If he has left.... please please please)
Im divided on this Harry has did a great job but he cost us 3rd place by taking his foot off the gas my main concern is if he goes who can we get that is better and where does it leave Vertonghen?
Hopefully it doesn't change anything with Vertonghen. He's always spoke about the club first. I think he mentioned Redknapp once or twice in passing.
Im glad im not the only one less than overawed at the prospect of David Moyes coming, shame the Pool got BR
If the news is true that 'Arry's been canned then we should now prepare ourselves for a couple years of adjustment (dropping down the league table) while whoever is brought in adapts to several players leaving, no C.L. footie to motivate other top end players to replace them, etc etc.
I fully agree that the club is bigger than any one person but D.L's learning curve is sure taking a long, long time as ENIC have now been in charge for over 10 years and what do we have to show for their involvement, apart from a new training pitch about to be open sometime this year?
