JJ, are we likely to have a new manager by the start of pre-season?

Vertonghen will arrive as that's not in doubt its just a hold up which is not to do with us but are confident will be settled soon.
Manager is more complicated.

From what I've gathered from here, the guardian is supposed to be 1 of the more considered Spurs reporting.

Blanc is first choice IMO. If he stays on with France then we appoint AVB.

Is this the Ajax boardroom issues that have been reported? Or is it a neutral problem, not directly to do with either club / player?

Agree.

But with the media's dislike for AVB, this was something expected.

I feel that this, and the news reporting the players didn't want AVB are all made up

Surely we wouldn't announce the transfer before we announce the manager, that would be ammunition to press to call us a joke imo

one things for sure if no manager in place by time players come back for pre season, that will be the biggest joke yet!!!

we can argue and talk about pro and cons of any manager coming in but to have no manager in place when by all accounts we have been sounding out managers for 6 months since harry would not accept contract , wud be something that would bring spurs to another low. that surely cant be the case.
