off topic but met lennon in vegas a few days ago and he said he had no idea who was taking over! Was pretty sound guy tho, was getting moved away from his table in tryst by bouncers, he came over and had a photo with me. Mates saw him in rehab too.

It works both ways though, if we've already signed his replacement clubs will underbid for Modric knowing that he needs to be sold.

It can't be AVB. If it was I can't see why JJ wouldn't confirm it considering every paper is reporting that he is on the verge of joining. Just not buying it. In Feb when Capello got sacked and Redknapp was the only contender for the England job the search for Levy began. But that was at the same time AVB was deemed useless and a laughing stock. Levy must have someone better lined up

I'm just annoyed he blatantly wanted Rodgers but dithered too long. Rodgers seemed the perfect fit

no it doesn't. he still has 4 or 5 years on contract and we dont have to sell. spurs do things arse ways anyway so i fully expect them to sell modric and get mugged off for a wad of cash on a player who wont be fit to lash modric boots.

And then this report comes out about AVB complaining that we are are talking to other coaches and discussing the possible future of 1 of our key players and threatening to take his ball home with him.

Time to move on to the next candidate I think.

I think we're keeping AVB on ice until we have a chance to speak to Blanc. Obviously this is hard until France get knocked out of the Euros.

Blanc is first choice IMO. If he stays on with France then we appoint AVB.

I'll eat my proverbial hat if AVB isn't appointed & Vertonghen doesn't arrive.
JJ or anyone not confirming doesn't mean something isn't happening, it just means it hasn't been legally set in place.

Its seems to me that AVB has learnt nothing, he has too much ego and thats why his man management skills are not up to scratch. If we can't secure our first choice move on to Martinez I say.
