Siggy, Holtby, Dawson, Walker, Naughton, parker all put a shift in. Rest can fook off
Dumb dumb dumb.
What you said I mean.
Not you.
Possibly.

I disagree with that last sentence. We played well enough I think given the situation and our 4-3-3 formation looked good. We were very comfortable and both goals were down to errors: Dembele losing the ball, Naughton thinking he's a winger and not being in his position and Friedel letting the ball go through him; and the poor defending at the near post coupled with Friedel's pathetic save.I thought that from the moment Verts was sent off the players did themselves proud. Brilliant defending and proper effort considering we were down to 10 men, away from home and this late in the season.
We didn't play well tonight but I don't think effort was where we were lacking.

We had no chance in penalties. Did anyone think Friedel would ever save a penalty? I'm surprised he made it up after every dive. We can't be saying we want to win the competition and then playing him in goal. He's so obviously inferior to Lloris. I support Tottenham not Brad Friedel's feelings.
So proud of Daws. Total soldier.
jog on
i somehow agree.
but on the other hand I am so close to just packing it in and just giving up on this fecking club. we always seem to bottle it in spectacular fashion. it's killing me slowly but surely.
it's like it's just not meant to be for us...
I need to finish this bottle of scotch now ....

Proud of their heart, yes. Of their technical ability, no.
I am proud of the team this evening, yes we went out but we gave it our all!IF you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
Sorry but what did people think would happen? That he'd say fuck off and stop playing? He did well. I wouldn't say it was a hero's performance. He contributed significantly to the turning point of the match, Vertonghen's red card.His kit was brown by the end of the night. Dawson is a real pro.
