I do believe you're referring to Professor Burb's Bubble Works at Chessington :pompous:

Stupid childhood memories...useless after all the booze consumed over the years...and the rest. I blame it on missing hair follicles.

However, its worth noting that wenger and prof burb have one thing in common...They both love the kids......

With a packet of sweets, and a cheeky smile, wenger is a......[sensored] 'all together now.......'

What about defender and striker, though?

Obviously I am relying on good luck on the injury front, but we have Capoue and Fryers that could play as 4th and 5th choice CBs.
For strikers, I think Soldado would play a lot, but Defoe and Adebayor aren't the worst strikers in the world to be backups.

True.

So are we expecting a centre back and a striker as well this window?

We're looking a bit thin on the ground in defence since Caulker left, and if Soldado gets injured do we really see Defoe or last season's Ade leading the line?

Perhaps we'll wait until deadline day for these two positions?

We'll sign a centre-half. Ade as a player would be perfect backup for Soldado, but you tend to think it's not just about the playing side. But whether Bale goes or not would have a massive effect on the budget for a replacement. Probably.

We can't sell both Defoe and Townsend as we only have 9 homegrowners left now.

Edit: losing Bale would take us down to 8 (the minimum).

No doubt someone else has already said this, but there is no minimum, been said 100 times on this thread. (Sorry). 17 max non home grown players. Thats the only rule which then leaves room for 8 homegrowns, you don't need to max it. It's pointless maxing it for a player that won't ever play like Kane or something.

Watching Capoue clips, I could see him being a phenomenal CB.

WOW....what a day to miss. Just got in and seen 19, yes 19 updates in the RO. Is everything in the RO or did I miss anything. Interesting that JJ now suggesting we may keep Bale and Willian is a big signing if we can get it over the line - exciting times :)

This transfer window is really bending my mind.

So who the f*ck does Townsend think is going to buy him? Agents really do have a lot to answer for...

He might do really well for himself at bottom half clubs like Liverpool or Cardiff

And on a different note, I get the impression that JJ doesn't rate Chadli. Said 4 good signings, but including Willian we would have signed 5 players...

Atlanta Yid on COYS in relation to the Willian deal....

I asked if that meant Bale was offski and I got back that it would soften the blow

Wow todays ITK has worn me out.

I would love to keep Bale just so I can tell the Real Madrid fan I work with (he is Venezuelan so gets a free pass) to never mind Florrie Perez, Daniel Levy is the man, after all he is different!!

Off to bed now, knowing that when I wake and log on at 6 am that I will probably have another 30 pages to catch up on.

Oh and on Val and his three little birds, I wouldn't put it past him to rock up with three cute chicas.

You know we've progressed as a club when a €17m deal is almost done, but we are completely ignoring it to discuss bigger and better things!

Poor Halilovic!

Could easily have just meant the 4 announced signings.

' and as of today confirmation was being sought from a financial authority regardless of what others are saying.'

Anyone explain this bit of Jasper's update?

POTL cant speak. He has a mouth full of Franco ;)

for the record I rate POTL as one of the best ITKs in the business. I make these jokes for pure entertainment value. I dont wish to be negged repped to high heaven by all of the POTL minnions whom we know marshall these parts in sacrificial defence of their leader

Not a neg rep, but earlier ITK did say Willian = all AVB. Lamela deal = Baldini. Not needed Ryan?

Let me just say to you all, and bear in mind I'm only on page 57, with the latent pages accelerating away from me (I was catching up!). It has been a great day to have off!

He also said 4 players in so far. So could just be saying 4 players as the other 2 aren't confirmed yet and doesn't want to tempt fate/jump the gun.

I think his general point was even if we dont sell Bale and now Levy has to act creatively to balance the books, there is still no downside as we are left with our current squad with more potential incomings, plus we would still have our gem - a squad which should go onto amazing things and eventually pay the investment back in the future. So Levy shouldn't worry about balancing the books. Just my onion
